My wife uses her small trailer for double duty: hauling cargo and sometimes as a "hardshell tent". The trailer is equipped with exterior 12V tail and running lights, but also interior ceiling LED lights. The problem is all these 12V lights only work while 1) connected to the car and 2) when the car lights are turned on. I had already equipped the trailer with an RV style AC power distribution system, which allows for tying into shore power while camping, but that didn't include any AC ceiling lights. The solution - add a 12V LED power supply inside the trailer powered by the shore AC system. For connection to the trailer lights, the 12V is simply routed to the exterior of the trailer and connected to a mating plug for the 12V trailer wire harness. In use, you unplug the trailer from the car, plug the trailer cable into the trailer mounted connector, connect to shore AC power, and then turn on the interior AC system to power the interior 12V. Of course, this still powers the exterior running lights as well (like when you're driving at night), but she actually likes that feature. And since it is on shore power, there's no danger of running down the car battery. This 60W LED 12V supply is rated high enough for my application, comes in a compact, solid casing, and comes with a computer-style coaxial output connector. I used the integral mounting tabs to secure the unit close to the AC distribution box and hard-wired the supply directly to one of the breaker outputs inside that box. The small AC input cord comes with a standard US plug on the end, but I cut that off for my application. The cord internal wires are Euro-style blue-brown-green color code, even though the supply input is labeled black-white-green (US color code.) It is easy enough to look up which color is hot or neutral. A small hole in the floor of the trailer gets the 12V to the outside connector. You can run the unit all night with no noticeable increase in temperature. It was a fast and simple solution to make use of the already existing trailer lights.

Does what it should and does that reliably. Has low heat and easy to install. Good value for money.

I store a car in an outdoor CarCapsule and the original power supply died after 6 years of continuous use. I ordered this power supply to replace that one and it works perfectly, like new, maybe even better than new. Saved me a bundle over buying a replacement directly from CarCapsule. Highly recommended!

Easy to wire up and worked on my leds like it said it woukd

We used these in custom cabinets for led light strips. They are great. Easy to wire and then plug and play!

This power supply had no issues running a 12V ham 2 meter rig which draws 7.5 amps on high power. No noticeable audio artifacts in the sent signal. Voltage drop was minimal but seemed to be well under 1 volt at this load. I opened the unit but found it to be filled with a wax like material I assumed to help make it water resistant. Seems like a decent supply. Would order again.

Hooked up car radio by the pool

I bought this driver as an addition to LED lighting to replace the cheap lighting provided with my sandblaster cabinet. I put in 4 1000 lumen LED lights along with this driver and OMG!!! The inside of the cabinet is DEFINITELY NOT lacking for illumination.
