No need to search for shade - these work great!!
We live in Northern California and the summers get HOT! These sunshades are super easy to use - You simply slide these over the window like a sock! Because it surrounds the window with a shade on the outside and one on the inside it really blocks out the sun better than anything I've ever seen. I love that they are so easy to take on and off... you can remove them with one hand! I've been using this for about four months and I haven't had any issues with holes, tearing or stretching out... it's made very well and I believe that it will last for a couple of years at least. They stay put and they don't move around or fly up when the car door is shut. I've even rolled the window down half way while driving and had no problem at all. They also don't seem to have any issues when driving down the freeway. I kind of expected them to balloon out or something when on the freeway, but that didn't happen!! They really help to block out the sunlight and so it keeps the car much cooler than it would be without it. Unlike the smaller roll up and down shades that block a small amount of sun, these really shade the entire window! They help to keep the car much cooler!! I don't have to worry if I can't find shade or if I do find shade and the shade moves... these stay on and don't move around. It's a little weird looking from the outside, but who cares... it works and that is all that matters to me. I bought this sunshade in conjunction with a sunshade to go over the car seat that I have in my car. I actually don't really need to use the car seat shade, except for the sun that comes from the back window... that's why I use both. Between the two items the car seat stays perfectly cool and I don't have to worry about my granddaughter burning herself or complaining that the seat is hot when she gets in the car seat. It makes getting in the seat super easy - and who doesn't love that? I originally bought this sunshade to keep on my windows all the time but I usually take it off while driving because it does create a bit of a blind spot in my car... and my car already has a fairly large blind spot. Some people might find them difficult to drive with them on - even in the day. I haven't had a problem during the day the times I have driven with them on, but it really does darken the car so I would keep that in mind. I take them on and off several times a day sometimes and I don't think it's big deal. I toss them into a holder with my granddaughters toys so it's always ready to go. I am currently looking at purchasing a car that has blind spot notification and I will leave these window shades on all the time when I purchase the new car. That being said, I am looking for something to put in the window while we drive around this summer and use these shades for long term parking on hot days to keep the car cool until I get the new car. I would also get this even if I didn't have small children to drive around with... It really cuts down on the heat in the car and it's nice to come back to a cooler car on a 100+ degree day! It was a great purchase!!

awesome solution for vehicle shades!
We have been looking for a solution to giving the kids who sit in the back more shade. We tried a whole bunch of things, from suction cup shades to DIY type solutions. Never had anything that really worked and was reliable. Thankfully, we found these stretchable sun shades. In short, they are working wonderfully! We have a Nissan Rogue and the shades are a little on the large side with a little give, but they still fit well with no problems. The effect is a dark shade that has a big effect on the sunlight that comes into the car. This makes it less hot in the interior as well as less glare. This is all we were looking for. We have had it for a few months now and it has held up as well as it did on the first day. They come on and off easily. Trips are much more comfortable for the kids in the back now which makes mom and dad happy campers. It doesn't prevent looking out the window at all. Here is a little side benefit: Mom has to sometimes breastfeed the baby and sitting in the back gives a lot of privacy that without the shades would be easy to see in the car. This was a nice bonus. Probably one of the best purchases we've made for the car and for not much money. Extremely happy and highly recommended!

I had to get used to the look because it doesn't blend in as nicely as the advertised pictures for us
These work well for the intended purpose...keeping the sun out of our boys eyes, and keeping them cooler in an SUV without rear air vents. We have a 2004 Xterra, so big square doors, but these stretch to fit and *mostly* cover it. I had to get used to the look because it doesn't blend in as nicely as the advertised pictures for us...the "border" of our doors is painted white, not black like a lot of more modern vehicles...so its obvious that there is something wonky going on...not in a bad way, just makes you look twice, which a LOT of people have done. Another potential issue is that the rear door handles are up on the side beside the window, not in the door below the window like most vehicles. I just slide them right down over the handles and since the material is stretchy, you can still open the doors fine. This may cause some weakness in the material there over time, but for the $15 I spent on these for happy sun-free days in the meantime, its worth it! We have had them for a month so far, had to remove them a couple times, and all seems well to-date. Handle rain (dry right off) and direct sun just fine. An added benefit for me is being able to put the rear windows down without removing it, and it keeps the randomly thrown cars, fruit loops and stuffed animals from flying out "on accident". Mom WIN!

LoveLife 2.0
Fits well on my Chevrolet Impala (2006-2012 style model). The trim below the window of my car extends out a little past the door on either edge and allows the elastic to grab on and stay down even while driving on the highway. The product is simple yet efficient for more than just its advertised usage... "What other uses," you may ask. For those inclined towards a romantic backseat hookup, these ShadeSox will do wonders for your love life. Even during the bright of day you simply cannot see through the side windows (do mind the people staring through your rear windshield, however). They are also helpful at night: standing a foot away with a flashlight shining directly at your windows you cannot see through them at all; the light simply illuminates the mesh of your ShadeSox. Forget worrying about those nosy neighbors walking their dogs! Pros- *Easy to use: quickly installed, quickly removed. *Provides shade and privacy in the backseat of the car. *Remains up while your windows are down. Cons- *You may faintly hear the wind on the fabric while driving (with windows up). *It can be difficult to check your blind spots through the fabric (over left shoulder).

Easy to install.

Good fit and easy to install - just make sure you try both ways as the shades are not square. Only problem is they take forever to arrive and I should have known as this is the second set I’ve bought and first ones took a week longer than promised. This time lost in mail and had to be resent from seller.
