I thought these were matt finished but it's a gloss finish. I dislike it for that reason works fine just my cake kept sliding around from the gloss so was a little hard to apply icing. Probably just go buy some matt finished ones from the store and use these as backup or a final board when the cakes need to be boxed.

You get a lot for the price

Made making my grandson's birthday volcano cake for his party a breeze. Had to cut the smallest disk a bit smaller and I used the plastic tubes in the cake for stability. It worked great!
