Bowflex SelectTech Series – Adjustable Dumbbells & Kettlebell 52, 90, 552i, 1090i, & 840, Smart, Space-Saving Home Gym Strength Training

I bought 2 of these and 2 of a cheaper brand that offers different increments. So I can swap between the 2 sets for smaller increases in weight than these alone offer. Compared to the cheaper brand these are far superior. The size is quite big which is a slight negative point for some exercises like Bicep curl. The weight plates are quite secure and solid in the handle whereas the cheaper one the plates are quite loose and can even be moved up and down. So it is worth buying these more expensive ones. The dial to select the weight is easy to see and easy to turn. This is also better than the cheaper ones I bought. I like that you can select the weight on each end which is not available to do on the other set. The only negative about selecting each end seperately is it takes twice as long as the cheaper set that uses a push button while turning only one end to select for both ends. This is not a deal breaker for me as it is still a very quick selection preccess. The positive of selecting each end seperately could be that you can have one weight on one and a different weightbon the other end. No idea why you would want to do that but these allow it and the cheaper ones don't. One negative is that the handle rings that hold the plates in is plastic and my research has shown youtube video's where people claim they have cracked or become loose which allow the plates to fall out. I don't know how true that is under normal use but the 'how to fix' video was very useful and they claimed they had had the set of dumbbells for 5 years. The tutorial gave me confidence to go ahead and buy rather than dissuade me. Knowing that parts can be available online and youtibe has step by step guides. As for use, I found videos on youtube where people were using these exact dumbbells. They showed how some exercises are negatively compromised regarded full range of motion and how you can adjust to account for it and still get the maximum out of the exercise. Be carefull when unpacking. I had to set them to a weight I could manage and remove the handles at that weight. Then remove each plate seperately. Then take the base out and re build the plates into it where I intended them to stay. Then place the weighet handles into the base.

Now I’ve waited to review these (no pun intended). I had these a couple years now, I use them a lot, like most mornings and they are great. Work as smoothly as the first day. Only downside is they don’t get heavier as you get stronger ha. Worth every penny & believe they’ll last me a long time yet.

these things are great. been using them for a while now and they are easy to use and compact for space saving. seem well made and not too rattly.

We wanted a set of weights that wouldn’t take up much space, felt comfortable in the hand, and were quick to adjust. We ended up buying two sets so we could train both arms simultaneously, and honestly, we’ve never used weights that adjust this fast, it takes seconds!, which is amazing. The grip feels secure and well‑designed too. I’d highly recommend these to anyone who likes their equipment to stay tidy and wants to spend less time fiddling with weight changes and more time actually working out.

Insanely pricey considering how much of this is plastic, but for adjustable compact bells it comes highly recommended. Fair enough. Adjusting the weight is as easy as twisting a knob. The whole thing does feel very well put together to be fair. What I don't like so much, but can't be avoided due to the nature of adjustable weights, is that I do need to treat these with more care than my metal bells. I can't drop them, and I have to put them back in their slots carefully. Aside from that, though, I don't think you're going to find something as good as this at this price point. If you're low on space, highly recommended. Just remember that you'll need to buy 2.

I’ve been using these weights for a few months now, they’re easy to use, easy to change the weights and they take up no space. They feel and look well built and are comfy to lift. They are expensive, however you’d pay a similar price for weight that take up lots more space.

What a brilliant piece of kit not only because it’s very well made but being adjustable takes up virtually no space which is ideal for my home gym. Also the handle isn’t too thick unlike most kettlebells meaning exercises such as upright rows, shoulder workouts etc you are able to grip it with complete comfort. Excellent value for money as it’s equivalent to having 6 kettlebells.

Die von mir getesteten Hanteln von Bowflex richten sich an alle die den nötigen Platz zuhause haben um zu trainieren. Wenn man sie auspackt stellt man gleich mal fest das es sich um ein robustes Teil handelt. Hinweis, ich habe 2 Stück der Hanteln gekauft. 👍🏻Vorteile: + Man spart jede Menge Hantelscheiben + Gute solide Verarbeitung + Gewicht (2 bis 24kg) kann schnell und einfach eingestellt werden + Gewichte werden in jeder Lage stabil gehalten 👎🏻 Nachteile: - Keine Fazit: Die Hantel kann sofort nach dem Auspacken in Betrieb genommen werden. Ich habe nun die Hanteln seit 2 Wochen im Einsatz. Es ist einfach ein gewisser Luxus wenn man rasch und einfach sein gewünschtes Wunschgewicht für seine Übung einstellen kann. In der Vergangenheit musste ich da jedes Mal Scheiben umschlichten. Man erspart sich einfach jede Menge Zeit und kann definitiv zielgerichteter trainieren. Auch zu erwähnen das die Hantelscheiben, egal in welcher Konstellation fest sitzen. D.h. auch bei Überzügen oder anderen Übungen kann man die Hantel sehr gut auch bei den Scheiben greifen. Das Einstellen erfolgt in der vorgesehenen Halterung, auch das funktioniert hervorragend. Ich persönlich finde auch den Griff der Hantel sehr passend und auf keinen Fall unangenehm. Die verstellbare Hantel von Bowflex bekommt von mir volle 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Sie wird bei mir weiterhin regelmäßig verwendet werden. Ich möchte sie auf keinen Fall mehr missen. Souhaitant poursuivre mon entraînement en salle à la maison du fait de la fermeture des salles de sport, j'ai commandé des haltères. Livrées rapidement, elles sont arrivées chacune dans un grand carton avec serres flex autour pour faciliter la saisie (et ont été livrées dans la pièce de mon choix par deux livreurs très sympas). Dans le carton, un énorme emballage en polystyrène entoure chaque haltère, qui est bien attachée à son support. Mise en place aisée, rien à monter à part enlever la "ceinture de sécurité" de chaque haltère la retenant à son support. Le mécanisme de choix du poids est en métal et semble solide, le poids sélectionné se mettant très bien en place sans aucun jeu dans la molette. Evidemment il est hors de question de les lancer, mais l'ensemble du choix de poids est top, le changement se fait très facilement en reposant l'haltère sur son support. Elles sont massives, plus que des haltères de même poids habituellement, mais le grip est bon. La poignée fait un peu mal lorsqu'on augmente le poids, obligeant au port de gants (c'est la première fois que ça m'arrive alors que je mettais 2x46kg au DC haltère sans soucis), car dès les 30 kgs passés l'irrégularité au niveau de la poignée commence à écraser les métacarpiens de la main et cela est assez gênant selon la position. Pour du sport à domicile, couplez la avec un banc et vous êtes les rois du pétrole. Ca semble cher à l'achat mais c'est ultra polyvalent et permet de faire énormément d'exercices différents.

Good adjustable kettlebells. Only thing is they are quite large (the bell part) compared to the non-adjustable ones so need to adjust form when doing things like halos.

Très pratique pour s'éviter l'encombrement et le coût d'un rack complet d'haltères de différent poids à domicile. Ca peut sembler un petit investissement au départ, mais le gain de place et l'efficacité du procédé sont convaincants. Je l'utilise depuis plusieurs mois et pour l'instant je n'ai eu aucune mauvaise surprise (type plaque qui se détache, comme j'ai pu le lire). Si on respecte l'utilisation recommandée, en faisant bien attention aux crans et au sens, le système me semble fiable et costaud. A voir éventuellement à la longue ; mais en l'état je ne regrette absolument pas mon achat.
