Really helps my dog!
I have a 7 year old labrador retriever who is terrified of storms/fireworks/other loud noises. We tried just about everything to help ease her anxiety, but nothing was working. I was skeptical about pheromone sprays, but got this in June 2022 to at least try. I was also skeptical the first time I used it because to me it smells similar to rubbing alcohol when I initially apply the spray, but that smell goes away after a few minutes and is then odorless. The difference that this spray has made for her anxiety has been incredible. When it starts to storm or fireworks start going off, I spray 8-10 squirts of this onto a bandana for her to wear. In as little as 5-10 minutes she is calmer, and the effects for her last for hours. I sometimes have to re-spray the bandana, but usually just one application is enough to get us through the anxiety causing event. Before we started using the spray she would be inconsolable during these times- hiding, intense shaking, and panting that was similar to hyperventilation. Now after consistently using the spray during stressful events, she no longer hides, stays lying down by us the entire time, and will sometimes even fall asleep! She also seems to associate the bandana with feeling better because as soon as she hears a loud boom she will go running to wait by where I keep it and is excited to put it on.While I'm sure this spray doesn't work for every pet, I think the main reason that this product gets complaints is because people use this expecting their pets to show 100% improvement. While it has worked amazingly for my dog, it isn't a cure by any means. She is still a bit nervous during storms, will sometimes flinch if there's a loud firework, and will occasionally shake/pant still (although far less intensely than before). But she is choosing to not hide during the stressful events and is noticeably more at ease. This is not a sedative product, so you will be disappointed if you go into using it with the mindset that your pet will have 0 anxiety. I went into it just hoping that it would help somewhat and have been extremely pleased with the results.I ordered the 60ml bottle back in June 2022, and have used 8-10 squirts for every storm/firework sounds/etc since then. I am just now almost finished with the bottle, so it does last quite a while if you aren't using it every day. It may seem pricey, but the positive effects it has had for my dog are well worth that price.

Worked best the first couple of times we tried it.
After the first couple of uses it seems far less effective than it did at first. I have a very high strung pooch and he refuses the edible product. It’s too bad, he really needs to chill out!

Skepticism is Great with This
After having issues with multicat Feliway (and other highly touted pheromone products) I had a great deal of doubt and skepticism for this product when my veterinary clinic recommended it for my dog. You see, he is a Velcro dog, preferring to be attached to me 24/7/365 (even moreso during thunderstorms and fireworks), to the point that I cannot function without stepping on him at least once in the course of a day. Those with children understand how it is, hands reaching under doors when a few moments' peace is sought in the bathroom... or pleading eyes when a quick snack is snatched from the fridge... accompanied by a constant barrage of "mom mom mom mommy mother mommy ma ma mama".With a Velcro dog, it's the snuffling, the whining, the constant need to touch and be touched, the bringing of toys, balls being dropped at your feet to be thrown (so you can trip on them when your hands are full... remember that snack I mentioned earlier). Velcro dogs have level 11 Separation anxiety and can fixate on just about anything.: licking their feet or legs or.. *ahem* other things. They can also have toys they pacify themselves with, like that one toy they seem to suck on or chew on or carry with them all the time. For mine, it's a Frisbee made of a material called Orka (not the animal, almost like a rubbery substance). His fixation is so intense, he's gone through 6 in 2 years. He also has chronic pancreatitis which is exacerbated by these conditions. He literally works himself up into pancreatic episodes, which are almost $1000 a visit. Every week. Yeah. And I can't change his diet or it kicks that pancreatitis up. So, I was at my wit's end. Until this stuff.A handful of sprays into his kennel (which has a cooling mat, his favorite blanket, and a stainless steel bowl of water solidly clamped to the bars of his kennel), wait 15 minutes (no less than 10, so the carrier alcohol can disburse) and he will walk right in there, lay down, and be fine for up to 5 hours. No hyena-like screeching when he's let out (a common occurrence), no steaking down the hallway like he's shot out of a cannon, no yapping, no barking, no howling from separation anxiety.I even use it when I take him with me on long road trips. I spray the carpet in the car and his traveling blanket (front and back) 10-15 mins before I load him in, and he's good for 5 hours or so. I take the bottle with me in case I need an extra boost, but I've not needed to do so (to date). The only thing that's harsh is the alcohol, which dissipates in about 10-15 minutes. The awesome bonus: This works for cats as well. My cat has no issues with it, and will even hang out in the kennel after it's sprayed, much to the chagrin of my dog.

I purchased hoping it would help ease my German Shepherd ...
I purchased hoping it would help ease my German Shepherd constantly chewing and licking himself. It didn't have that effect, nor did it help to calm him down, but he is a one year old 90 pound puppy and I don't think I can really fault the product. It was worth a try and I don't think his licking/chewing is stress related. He grew up with three cats and might just be copying their cleaning habits. Who knows, he doesn't show any hot spots or visible skin issues so I bought him a bunch of chew toys instead. A friend of mine has a small terrier and she swears by this spray, says it helps her dog relax while he is home alone in his crate. She says her dog would chew up his toys and blankets while she was at work. With this spray, he doesn't stress and is no longer destructive. I gave it a neutral rating because the effectiveness may be relative to the dog.
