Great vacuum for pet messes! Comparison in description
The media could not be loaded. Review updated below. I've had this vacuum for about a week now, and it does a great job cleaning up after 2 cats and 2 dogs, with a cleaning area of about 2,000 sq ft. I only wish the dust bin were a little larger. If I skip a day of running it, I might have to empty it while it's in the middle of cleaning, but with 4 hairy pets, I can't really complain about that.Setup was easy. You have to download another app in order for the dser app to link with Google Home/Nest products, but not a big deal. I tell Google to start the vacuum, and it does. I tell it to send the vacuum home, and it does. The maintenance is pretty easy, which is a big plus. The vacuum comes with a tool to clean the brushes, which is a huge help. The little side brushes pop off when you need to unwind strands of hair or any strings that might get caught around them. The vacuum seems to run in a specific pattern sometimes, and other times it seems very random. It'll start in a grid pattern, then suddenly decide to change direction. This vacuum doesn't seem to map out your home, but the company doesn't claim that it does, either. It moves around corners smoothly and doesn't slam into walls, but it has moved my kitchen chair out of it's way one time while cleaning. When it detects a wall, it does slow down before approaching, but it doesn't realize that anything thinner than about 5" is there, and it will bump into it before usually going around it.The app and the remote are handy. Both do the same things. The vacuum responds quickly to either, but if you're trying to get it to go in a certain direction toward a specific spot you want it to clean while it's rounding a corner, it won't change it's course. You have to constantly tap a directional button while it tries to resume going in the straight direction it was originally trying to go. This isn't an issue if it's already going in a straight line. The vacuum travels over transitions easily, and is quiet enough that I don't have to change the volume of the TV. I'm not sure I could nap or sleep while it's running, but it's quiet enough that it doesn't disturb me while I'm awake. The suction is pretty good, but I think the brushes do most of the work, anyway. It will get caught on speaker wires or bathroom rugs at times, and it'll send out a distress beep when that happens. It didn't destroy my spliced speaker wires, but I have since picked the wires and the rugs up off of the floor when I run it, so this isn't an issue for me anymore. When it did clean the bathroom rugs, the suction would automatically increase while it was on the carpet, which was nice, until the rubber corner of the rug got caught in a wheel. I haven't tried it on installed carpet, yet. Charging time is pretty short, and the battery lasts for about an hour. I have yet to find out what happens when the battery gets low while it's cleaning. When I feel like the floors are clean enough, I just send it back to the dock. The vacuum has a low enough profile that it travels under low furniture/objects easily, such as kitchen chairs and coffee tables (if the items aren't light enough for the vacuum to move the item when it bumps into it).Overall, I think this is a wonderful smart vacuum for the price. It isn't a big-name expensive brand, and probably doesn't perform like one, but I'm very happy with this purchase!UPDATE: We were gifted a Roomba 675, so we had the opportunity to compare the two. The comparison falls in favor of the dser RoboGeek, hands-down. The dser is much quieter and seems to have a more thorough cleaning pattern. The dser picks up more dust and dirt particles of all sizes. The dser has dual side brush heads, and the Roomba does not. The Roomba does have more suction, but that also means it has faster outflow of air which blows pet hair and dust around rather than picking it up, like the dser does. This vacuum has a physical remote as well as a remote within the app; the Roomba has neither. On a technical note, the Roomba is able to connect to 5G, but the dser was much easier to rename for use with two vacuums using Google Home (you can't use the Roomba's name when telling Google to start it and you have to specifically say Roomba, but you can use the dser's name to start it). The dser also has a HEPA filter (Roomba only has a screen filter) and is easier to clean/maintain than the Roomba.Bottom line to the update: if you're between this vacuum and the 675, go with this vacuum. You won't be disappointed.

Great little vacuum
This little champ is excellent at getting to hard to reach places like corners and under the bed, while doing an excellent job on area rugs and tile floors alike. It's easy to clean (which, if you have a pet like I do, I strongly recommend you do after every use), is whisper quiet, and really cleans your floor. I was amazed at the volume of fine particulates it swept up, even after I had just swept using my Rainbow vacuum.I gave it a four star rating due to the following issues:1. Set up with Alexa was difficult, confusing and ultimately limited to turning the unit on. I could find no other instructions to automate additional functions through Alexa and Smart Life.2. The remote works beautifully, though I've no idea how to set the correct time on it.3. The dustbin is small and fills quickly, as I have a long-haired Golden Retriever, though I do understand now that this is a trade-off for its compact size.4. The brushes absolutely must be cleaned at least after every use, as long pet hair gets wrapped around them quite easily.5. Sometimes the little guy just gets lost on its way back to the charger. I wonder about its internal mapping software sometimes. However, if you just give it time, it will find its way back, as long as it is not hung up on anything.6. My original purchase arrived and it had been USED! Disgusted, I immediately complained and a new replacement arrived in two days. This review is based on my usage of the new replacement. For being my first robot vacuum, I must say that I'm quite pleased. It does it's job well, going over my entire apartment (kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom) all in one charge. I've got it scheduled through the dserlife app to clean every other morning at 2 AM. I sleep through it even when it kicks into higher suction power on area rugs. I can only use Alexa to start its automatic program, then must use either the remote or the dserlife app to send it back to the recharge base.
