I watched the show just recently. Was very impressed so wanted some of the recipes featured on the show. Was very happy to find this book. Arrived in perfect condition. I will treasure this book.

I was not expecting a 5 pound book -- the book is super heavy, on very heavy paper, but probably 1 recipe for every 2 or 3 pages. If you want to re-live the tv show, this is a good book for you, but if you want the recipes with some surround tips and strategies to execute them, not so much here for you.Also the book references professional ingredients without discussion as to what the home baker should buy or do.

I love this show! This book has a lot of the popular recipes, great pictures and fun back stories!

I was disappointed that it only had 1 regional item of baking for each area & not all those lovely bakes they did. I could also have done without the repeat text of each region. It was like reading the tv programme! When the next season starts I shall just take the name's of the recipes I like & look for them on the internet. My friend, on the other hand... loves the book I sent for her.

Bought after watching the 2014 series - great to be able read up about all the bakeries involved and to give their recipes a go.

After watching the show, my wife was overjoyed to receive the cookbook. We've been to the winning bakery a few times, so that makes it extra special. She's excited to try more recipes, but the ones we've used so far have been wonderful.

Another great bread book by Peter Sidwell. I love this book and his book Simply Great Bread , which has great bread maker recipes!

Bought this book having watched the TV series and when in the UK visited the winning bakery. We bought their speciality bake, and since returning home I have made it from the recipe in the book -- it turned out exactly as the one we bought. Really delicious.

As a keen baker it is a shame that the recipes do not state clearly the type of yeast used unless it is a recipe that requires a 'starter'. Fast action? Fresh? You just have to read the recipe and try to and figure it out... The cake recipes are clearer and I have enjoyed trying them out more than I have the dough based ones.
