BAD QUALITY PLASTIC COVER
I am very disappointed with the result of the cards. When they arrived I did not like that for the price I paid for them, they did not even have a bag for storage and transportation, but finally I got one that did those functions. With the use (little use I must say) of the cards, these have been deteriorating. The matt plastic cover is peeled off and what is left in sight is the glossy plastic with which the Plickers application works the worst.I do not recommend your purchase at all.If you need the cards, it's better to print them in the desired size and laminate them with matt plastic cover.

New "Must-Have" for quick Assessments
Still getting ready for school, so haven't used these yet, but they look great - laminated, but matte finish so they can be read by your device. Seem sturdy, but only time will tell with 200+ middle-schoolers using them. Solved my problem of not knowing what to do about storing them in a way that makes it easy for the kids to find their number and put them away in order by attaching Velcro discs to the backs and sticking them on a cabinet with the number posted where the card should go. I like that someone thought like a cheater and realized that the backs needed to be randomly right side up for each letter choice to avoid copying answers.Update after 8 months of school and after using these approximately 20 times total... they have held up ok, but the lamination on many of them has started coming loose along the edges. I tape them when this happens, but it is a lot of extra work and will only get worse if you don't stop the unraveling as soon as it starts - kids love to pick at things.

Can the USB charging be pushed to 8A in a future version?
I got one of these and am considering another. It works well, and as expected. As for this product itself, there is only one thing I would do differently, and that is to allow the USB ports to supply a bit more power. Since it maxes out at 6A, that means you'll only be able to supply 2.4A to two devices at once or 2A to three devices at once. I'm sure this is related to the total available power draw for the strip, but I wish the USB ports could pull up to 8A so you could at least get to 2A per port on four ports. Since I'm not an electrical engineer, I may be missing why this wouldn't work, but as a layman, this is what I wish for. This marks a good start for Anker in power strips. I wish they would offer other configurations and layouts for future products. Having USB charging built in is awesome, and thus far, Anker is one of the few companies that I would consider buying from to offer it in a power strip.

Reliable, Plug-and-Play IR remote for HTPC (esp. Kodi)
This remote is the "go-to" remote for HTPC installations, especially those that rely on the popular Kodi (formerly XBMC). This remote works "out of the box" on recent versions of Windows 10 (as of 8/2018). As another reviewer noted, this is the same model as the: Gmyle or Hama or ORTEK VCR-1000 or VCR-1100It is reliable, long-lasting, and preconfigured to work well with Kodi. Or rather, Kodi is pre-configured to work well with the remote, since the remote offers very little configuration. It connects via the IR dongle, and is recognized as a keyboard device by the computer. The IR signal seems strong, and works even if you aren't pointed at the receiver in most cases (i.e., bouncing around the room). The buttons are hardcoded to send certain keys or key combinations, so you are limited to how you can configure this. It helps to use a tool like AutoHotKey if you want to program other actions. The mouse is basically unusable - very slow and clunky, I think at this point, something you could point at the screen or an on-remote trackpad would be preferable. However, this remote does have the advantage of not accidentally causing mouse motion if it gets bumped, which was a concern with other remotes.Overall, a quite nice tool for HTPC builds. If you intend to do anything mouse-sensitive, it would be wise to supplement this with a wireless mouse/keyboard of some kind.

Love the product but...
Update: I ordered this out of necessity, and from Anker because they make great products. However, the original unit arrived with dead USB ports. All of them. To Anker's credit, they responded quickly and shipped out a replacement. Eventually got it. Works perfectly. 5 stars as far as I am concerned. This is the first Anker product I have purchased that came broken. It's not a bad track record, but very disappointed regardless. I'll be sending this back. For those interested, the USB ports were dead. No power through them whatsoever. Could not even get the "protected" LED to light up... Too bad.

Hold up much better than printing and school laminating
The non-glare coating seemed durable until they got in students hands. !^)(Recommendation, collect them as soon as done using them. Also, cloths-pinning them to pockets at the front of the room where students can store phones can make for quick distribution and tracking which phones are turned in. Use a numbered calculator wall holder for the win!)They still work fine without all or even any of that coating and the underlying thick plastic laminate made it through a year so far without problems. Buying is a lot easy than printing and laminating at school and provides a much sturdier card too. If you can afford these they are a good choice (but you might skip the non-glare coating if you have the choice.
