Vampire Knight, Volume 1

Always wanted the VK manga's. I had only got to read them online before. I love this manga...great storyline. Then vampires makes it ever better. I would highly recommend reading them. Even the TV series is awesome...just wish they would have finished. The manga came in excellent condition. Very satisfied with purchase.

there are five episodes in this volume and in each one there is quite a few filler pages, making it clear to you about the plot. aside from that, it is a great read. it is rated t for teen readers, but if you got a twilight level fan reader...it is easy to follow. would not recommend this to the so called adult readers as it is intended for. minimal blood so far. lots of childish humor like characters picking on each other. good read over all. i look forward to reading more.

This is much better than the television series. I will definitely read more in the series. It is a fun read.

Love this series. The art and story is amazing. Kaname, Zero, and all the other characters are wonderful. A must read for all shojo manga devotees.

This is my first manga book that I've read and was pleasantly surprised. However it did take a little getting use to. The book starts from the back and goes toward the front and reads right to left. I was expecting a comic book but it's actually the size of a small paperback book. The pages are beautifully depicted but are in black and white. The stories give you a different perspective in the book. Some things in the show aren't in the book and some things in the book aren't in the show. There are 5 I guess you call them chapters which is the equivalent of 5 episodes of the show. I really enjoyed the extra details added in the manga like the night class perspective and the editors notes on the characters and story. If you like the anime/cartoon I would recommend giving the manga a try. Being able to see the differences between the show and the book is what I liked most about the book.

I've always loved this series since I found it online over 7 years ago. I was worried how the pages would scale to my kindle fire, but it scaled great. Easy to read and excellent translation. I'll definitely read it again!

Great book just heads up for anyone unfamiliar with manga the book goes from right to left but you don’t actually have to read the words from right to left

This is a great manga volume to start off with if you are a new-to-the-world-of-manga reader. I have read the series up to it's current chapters and it is great for any reader looking for that nearly angsty, high school confusion and romance, and a little bit of a love triangle all rolled into one. What makes it even more of a great story is that it's all of the things above plus, most of all the major characters are vampires. It is a really good manga as well as series, I would definitely say to anyone that it is worth a look!

A well written graphic novel, with some excellent artwork in typical manga style. For a Japanese novel it is surprisingly easy to read, despite the left to right pages and frames.The story is based around an elite boarding school that secretly houses a group of vampires at night as they co-exist with the day students that board at the school. The premise is original and fun, maybe a little too fun for me. It is certainly more mature than Matsuri Hino's other novels, but I would love to have seen a much darker version of this story. If you enjoy manga, or are looking to try it out, this is a fine example to pick up for free to get you started.

3.5 stars. Loved this and the human/vampire setting. Excited to see where this goes can’t wait to read the rest

There was only on defect in the manga and that was with the inside spine where the glue has obviously worn off over time, I’m keeping the item just have to treat it with extra care

I first watched the anime and wanted to find the books, from about book 1 to 6 are as far as the anime goes and 7 to 14 continues. I love vampire knight and the storyline is really interesting! I don't want to give anything away but would recommend for anyone who is a big fan of vampire books and romance.
