Tons of Fun. Engine is Good, Hardware is Crap
The engine itself actually looks pretty good. I must admit I haven't opened it up, but judging by the quality of the casting, fasteners and overall fit and finish, it seems well built. It starts up every time on the 2nd or 3rd pull and is very easy to start when cold. The rest of the hardware is very bad though. The fuel tank has a big scratch and the paint arround it is kinda weird, like if it were damaged when the paint was fresh. the handlebars feel incredibly cheap and flimsy. The extended crank didn't work on my Huffy Cranbrook, but it also looks and feels excceptionally cheap. All the boolts and fasteners are awful. I had to remove the rear sprocket after installing it, and one of the bolts simply snapped, and another got stripped. This was with hand tools and all bolts were properly installed. One of the hex nuts for the fuel tank straps wasn't threaded. It was just a hexagonal piece with an undersized hole and no thread. Thankfully I found a suitable replacement in my stash.Installing the engine was more frustrating than fun, partly due to the cheap hardware, and partly because the engine is so big. I had to get a different bicycle because the mountain bike I originally found didn't fit the engine at all. Even with the larger Beach cruiser, the engine fit very tightly and I had to grind down one of the engine mounts. Also I had to bend the plastic choke handle by gently heating it up.One last thing to note is that the engine comes with practically no oil. I've seen a couple of reviews stating that the engine died for no reason after less than an hour of use, and I suspect that they ran the engine out of the box with no oil. I used inexpensive 10w-30 Full Synthetic oil. The engine needs like 0.25L of oil, so 1qt should be plenty for a while.Lastly, if you don't already have a bike, get one without a coaster brake. It gets in the way and is way weaker than a proper hand brake.Edit: You might want to replace the clutch. A few days ago I was going for a test ride after fitting new brakes, when I noticed that the engine would vibrate very violently when accelerating. The vibration was so strong that I had trouble holding onto the handlebards and any screw on the bike that wasn't tight immediately fell off. I started suspecting that it was the clutch, so I took apart the bell housing and cleaned everything with degreaser and a brush and the vibration did go away. However, the clutch is pretty worn out and seems to be the incorrect size too. You can see that there's about 1-2mm of material left on the clutch, and there is a huge gap, probably 4-6mm between the clutch itself and the bell housing. It would seem that either the clutch is too small, or the springs are too strong because the clutch never fully engages, even at 25 mph, so it's always slipping. I also have to rev the engine very high before the clutch engages. All this wear occured with probably less than 2 hours of consecutive riding. I filled the tank to about 50% for the first ride, and there's still probably 30% fuel left in it.

Fits 2012 Cranbrook, Runs everytime.
Attention!!!!- Be ready to resolve problems with the bike or alignments; not a beginners kit.I read a lot of the comments about how it does not work or is trash and saw thatit is mostly USER ERROR/Lack of knowledge or basic mechanics.- I had a mechanic background and this is my first bike build and it did give me sometrouble; mostly with not knowing much about bikes but mechanical its good!- I used YouTube to look at many different build videos even before starting to build it.- Make sure you have proper clearance for the engine or it wont fit!- Youtube is your best friend, search for 49cc bicycle engine builds!***Fits my 2012 HUFFY CRANBROOK but you WILL NEED a bottom end adaptor;the American to European bottom end. There is one on Amazon called "American to Euro BMX Adaptor" or you can go to your local bike shop and ask!Pro's;- Runs every time so far, no issues mechanically.- Top speed 25 MPH @ 170 pounds rider, I would not recommend making it faster unlessyou ride with motorcycle gear because its not the speed that hurts people its suddenly stopping.- Great fuel efficiency; I got around 66 MPG on the break in period with half a gallon. It probably haseven better gas millage since I tweak and adjust a few things.- No need to add oil like the other 2 stroke engines.- Mechanically high quality engine itself.- You will learn about small engines trouble shooting/mechanics.- You will learn functions of a bicycle and adjustments/trouble shooting.Cons;- Need proper clearance to install engine, not all bikes will work.- Low end is bad due to it having a rear sprocket of 44 tooth, the lower the teeth on the rearthe more high end you will get but lose low end and vice versa.- Exhaust gasket is poor quality; it broke on me after adjusting it a few times, I recommenda metal/high end gasket.- The accessories are of lower quality but still does the job.- A lot of adjustment and patience is needed as you built it and adjust sprockets and enginelocation for proper alignment. What I learned and would recommend;- The bottom brackets that are cast iron WILL RUST and SHOULD be painted! I did not andI have to take it off in the future to paint it or it will just rust, even with a light rain rust willmagically pop on it.- Get a metal/high end exhaust gasket or it will degrade.- There is no oil filter so I got a couple of very power neodymium magnets and slap them on theoil drain plug which will prolong the life of your engine dramatically due to the fact that it will traplarge/small metal shavings towards the bolt and outlet so you can drain it.- I used an old inner tube to line the frame of where there will be contact with the engine or othermetals that can damage/dent the frame which helps it protect it from rust.- Install hand brakes as soon as you can, the coaster brakes is a death trap going fast/common sense lol.- I mark most if not all the bolts (permanent marker) so that I can check them every time I get on the bike so that if there is a problem I can see and fix it before it becomes a big problem.- Youtube is your best friend and learn from others!- Always have fun and learn as you go! Good luck! ^_^

1000% not for beginners!
Nice kit for the price. You definitely get what you pay for though. Kit is very generic, does not fit every 26” tire bicycle. My Huffy beach cruiser needed serious modifications to the motor mounts. Had to slot the motor bracket and reshape the cast frame brackets to seat my motor low enough. Also don’t buy this for a beach cruiser, this is for a three piece pedal setup with a small bottom bracket hub. My beach cruiser was a large bottom bracket and single piece pedals. Which requires a different set of pedals. The sprockets are definitely not true and straight, definitely a lot of wobble. Everything has seriously ragged edges on the metal parts, be careful. The twist throttle is complete plastic junk, doesn’t attach tight and doesn’t return to neutral. Throttle will stick wide open. Just toss this part in the trash and replace immediately. The best piece (which makes this worth the money) is the stout little 49cc 4 stroke motor. Looks and runs great, only takes one to two pulls and fires right up. Nice and quiet too, love the motor. Think with your dipstick Jimmy and check the oil before you fire it up!!! Any review about locked up junk motors seems like people who didn’t check the oil before testing it out. Yes it came with oil but it’s all soaked into the cardboard box after Amazon thrashes it to your house!Seriously buy this if you’re a DIY odd ball like me!

Pretty decent kit
It is a pretty cool little bike engine kit ran into a few problems putting it on a 26 inch cruiser bike but overall not too bad to put on and use the engine starts within 1 or 2 pulls and is so far pretty decent for the money and what it is.
