AA-RacksX31 Truck Rack with (8) Non-Drilling C-Clamps Pick-up Truck Utility Ladder Rack Black

I needed to haul a 16-foot canoe with my long pickup so having a bed-rack vs. a tailgate rack was a must. I liked the clamp-on version as I have a tonneau cover and the racks that would work with the cover were a bit out of my price range. I was worried that it might not be sturdy but it is really solid! It was easy to assemble (one person can do it but it is MUCH easier with two) and goes on and off pretty quickly. I did have to get a set of foam blocks for the front to keep the canoe from hitting the roof of the truck but that would not be a problem with a paddle board, lumber, ladders, etc.

UPDATED: it seems like most companies don't care after the sale. I contacted the seller. They offered to replace the unit. I needed it immediately. They gave me a credit through Amazon to make it right. Phenomenal customer service and support. We don't get to see that often. I will buy from them again if I need more of the types of products that they sell.This seems like a really sturdy rack. Easy to assemble, and heavy duty. The issue that I have is that the NEW rack that I purchased was damaged out of the box. It looks like someone already put it on their truck, used it and then returned it. There are scratches along the pipes and where the mounting clips would sit.I understand that people may return a product, but if I'm spending the money to purchase a new in box product, that's what I expect, not something that has been damaged and returned.I had to mount it to my truck as I need it today.If you are ordering from them, make sure you look at the box when it comes in so that you get a new product... not someone else's reject.

The Clamp system could be better if the clamps had a track or slot in the bottom of the rack to ride in it or if the clamps were wider it would be easier to install. These are $200 with the clamps and once it is together, every thing is tightened down, it is easy to move and adjust the position.I suggest having a second person to help to make the installation go much easier or a set of squeeze clamps just to hold things in place. If you use the clamps you might loose some length depending on the style of bed you have as with the 99-06 Chevys/GMCs have a rack hole built in and the clamps cam not go all the way to the front or back. I am impressed with this rack and would suggest this for for a professional or a weekend warrior looking for a low cost removable rack, it works and gets the job done. If I had another truck I would definitely buy another set.

I really like the product. It fit on my F-150 really well and has been holding up quite nicely. We took our large two person kayak out and had no issues mounting it. We will be taking that kayak and two smaller kayaks out this weekend, but I don't expect any mounting or hauling issues.I did have a few critiques just to make your product better.1) The gorgeous black metal does scratch quite easily. Just during the assembly it was scratching as pieces went into each other. It's so sharp looking out of the box, I would hope to have that last as long as possible.2) The instructions were not the most clear and concise.Other than those two things I think the product is great and it has made hauling our family's kayaks much easier.

Put this on my ram 1500 to transport kayak and paddle board while hauling travel trailer. Fairly easy to install (with another set of hands. Held up well on highway.

These racks came very well packaged and each piece in bubble wrap! These were very easy to put together and install on my truck. I chose to clamp mine on so I could remove them easier. I was sent the hardware to clamp or bolt on. I bought these to haul kayaks and pull our camper and it has worked as hoped. I have received compliments on these racks while they are on my truck.

I wanted them to work really bad but they are straight up and down and I needed something to angle with the cab so my 5th cleared them. Easy return would recommend them.

I mounted these on a 2019 Chevy Colorado crew cab using the "no drilling" clamp hardware. The clamps have teeth on them to dig into the steel of the ladder rack bases and the underside of the edge of the truck bed wall. I chickened out and put a piece of aluminum angle iron between the clamps' teeth and my truck's paint and sheet metal to protect the truck's sheet metal.It is sturdy; the tubing, bases, welds, paint job, and hardware are substantial. I can shake the truck by yanking back and forth on them even mounted the way I have. After hundreds of miles it's still solid. I did use blue thread-lock on all the screws during installation.They are also just the right height that if you put a ladder or kayak on them, you will be clear over the Colorado's stock radio antenna by about 1.5 inches.I'm happy with these for the price.
