I wanted a child's sewing machine for my 8 yr old granddaughter that really sewed. What sold me on this one is the finger guard which is a really nice safety feature. It really sews and is very easy to use. I don't know how long it will last but we're very happy with it.

Got this for my 7 year old son. Setting up the thread is difficult for my son to set up, so might be better for an older kid. I have to keep setting up the thread. It is a great beginners sewing machine for the price, it works.

Great Christmas present for a niece who loves crafts

Santa brought this for my 8 year old daughter. Her grandmother taught her how to use it and they made the pillow included with it plus a drawstring bag. She now feels confident to move on to other projects. The stitches made by the machine were really nice and it worked flawlessly for us. The only downside is that it's very tiny for an adult to use but perfect for a kid who is learning.

I had a better sewing machine in the past. My mother also was sewing during my childhood and she had 2 different machine. I am aware of that this one is for children but the back side saw is not good. controlling the speed is hard even for me as an adult. My daughter is now 7 yo and it is some hard for her to use it. Maybe one or 2 years later she can use it better. But we started to sew some clothes for her baby dolls. and i believe it improves her fine motor skills. I am glad I bought it. This one can be for only beginners.

I bought this for my 10 yr old granddaughter and it was terrible! I have been a sewist for 30 years and could not get this to work well at all! Very hard to figure out and when you did it would only work for a minute and then quit. I do not recommend

This was great size for my then 7 yr. Old Granddaughter to start with and still use years later.

Bought it for my daughter for Christmas. Only lasted 4 months of very light use. Inner plastic parts are designed to work in a way that relies on pure luck. Our luck ran out and the plastic mechanism will no longer catch resulting in the entire inner workings just jamming.Don't waste your time, spend a little extra and buy a real sewing machine. This isn't even a child's toy - children's toys work better.
