I chose this replacement battery for my 11 year old makita drill driver based on it having a low price -- but the quality and value is outstanding, as noted by other reviewers. As far as the seller goes, I wanted to mention I was concerned about the crazy long delivery time listed for the free shipping, so I contacted the seller before I ordered and they quickly replied letting me know not to worry, that it would ship right away. They were right, I ordered on a Monday and received it Thursday morning with the free shipping option. So, great seller communication and service as well. Thoroughly pleased with my purchase.

I really like the battery life indicator. Nothing worse than climbing up a ladder and finding out that the battery is not enough. I like pushing the button and making sure I have plenty of battery before starting a project. I was worried about the extra size and weight, but after using it for 2 cycles, I hardly notice the difference.

I am reducing my rating to one star. Both of the batteries I bought have died. Neither was heavily used. Probably defective cells. DO NOT RECOMMEND!This battery seems to work well but it is nowhere near 6 Ah. Its weight and physical size is almost identical to a Makita 3 Ah battery, so; even though I haven't tested it directly, it is safe to assume that it is about 3 Ah.

I've had it for a couple months, and I've only had to recharge it once so far with light use on small projects (no big projects yet) but it performs great. Time will tell how longevity is but its definitely worth the money. It fits my LXT stuff great, although it was a little stiff going on the charger it does fit.

The 6 amp model works very well. Probably as good as the oem and half the price. Be careful of which knock off band you order. Topball 4 ah only lasted 6 months. This one has no brand name, but seems to work well, but only have had it one month. Use it on my Makita leaf blower and hedge trimer. Also I must admit the two oem 2 ah I have for my drill lasted several years. If this one goes, will bite the bullet and buy oem.

I have had it a year. I use it in a drill. brush trimmer and weed trimmer. After a full charge, it will not last as long as OEM Makita 2ah which came with my drill. But it will charge in my Makita charger (even though the only lights that work are the red and green, none of the status lights function), and for residential light duty where you have a charger always present its fine. If you are a professional who needs long life, forget it.But given new Makita batteries can cost as much or more as the tool itself, for me it's worth it.

As others have said it is a bit hard to get into the Makita charger, but it does go in. Seems to act the same as orig Makita battery. I can’t attest to the life of this battery as I have only used it a few times .
