I've been "in love" with Green Arrow for a very long time and this series is the best! So lovely to have all the issues collected in one place, even if I do have to work to find a way to read a 20 pound book. (No, it doesn't really weigh 20 pounds, just seems that way.)

At 1500 pages, this is an epic! collection. Beginning with the mature format Longbow Hunters that evolved Green Arrow into an urban hunter while staying true to roots, then 50 issues of the on-going comic. Grell is top of his form.

Book arrived in great shape

I wasn't really expecting a lot when I ordered this book. I bought it off a recommendation from my friend, and I am very glad to report that this run is amazing. This is one of the best runs I think I've ever read from DC. It's dark, gritty, political, and engaging. Mike Grell manages to tell a captivating story for Green Arrow while keeping it very real and grounded (he rarely uses the name Green Arrow in any of the dialogue). The problems feel real, the stakes are high, and the characters are great. It's also easy to get into since this mainly takes place after Crisis on Infinite Earths which resets everything, even though the Green Arrow mythos is not that complicated to start with. The art throughout is also magnificent; Grell pencils the Longbow Hunters mini himself, but even throughout the rest of the run, Dan Jurgens, Denys Cowan, Dick Giordano, and many others provide some of the best art I've seen in the modern age. This is a great omnibus, most definitely one of my favorite DC omnibus books to come out. I'd highly recommend it to any superhero fan and definitely to any Green Arrow fan.

Mike Grell run on the Green Arrow is one of the finest in DC history. This is not the typical Oliver Queen with trick arrows and all, instead the writer put him in a more humane way with real life threats, and given him just a "Longbow"... ( U can guess it from the title) . The narrative moves at a fast pace with stories taking place in Seattle where Ollie is dealing with various villains and his own demons..

Great read, awesome collection for an awesome series of good story-telling. The collection is beautifully bonded in a hefty book. Perhaps this is one of them Collectors’ must haves.

Longbow Hunters is an amazing addition to Green Arrow mythos. I got it as a gift, and was very existed to read this massive beauty.However right on the arrow, the cover had a small sharp dent in it, which had also dented the hardcover it self.Tho the replacement process was very fast and straight forward, it was still kinda disappointing to have to wait another couple days.
