Perfect for watch parts
You have to be careful using Hexane, since it is considered a nerve agent. Having said this, Hexane doesn't evaporate like some chemicals where the room is instantly filled with fumes. So long as you are aware and exercise proper precautions, the fluid works great for watch parts with minimal risks. I typically use other cleaners like IPA for most of the parts, but there are a few like the escapement where the jewels are shellacked on and can't go into IPA. Hexane is the perfect solution.

Great
Good stuff

Cleans delicate watch parts well
Works great but requires careful handling and can't be used with just any cleaning vessel as it dissolves most caps and seals. Use nitrile or Teflon gaskets if you use a cleaning jar.

Works well
I use it to clean watch hair springs and pallet forks. It’s a great alternative to “One-dip”. It was s much less expensive than One-dip.

Value replacement for Burgeon One Dip
Using this to clean watch escapement parts and end capstones. Great value.

Five Stars
Works great as paint thinner. Hexane and methylene chloride are an amazing combo for working with paint removal!

Fast delivery, fine product
EDIT ON REORDER:This product is inconsistent. On the reorder, the product was mixed hexanes as shown by partitioning with methanol, not the n-hexane as indicated by the CASnumber. If what you need is hexane as a solvent, in which case mixed hexanes will work just as well as n-hexane, this product is absolutely fine. But if you specifically need n-hexane, you may or may not get it with this product.Previous review:Shipping was fast; product clearly is high percentage n-hexane as shown by partitioning with methanol, which mixtures high in other isomers don't do. I didn't run NMR or any other test but this, but have high confidence in product.
