TAJIMA Plumb Bob - 7 oz (200g) Plumb-Rite with Quick-Stabilizing Cap & Embedded Bumpers - PQB-200

This is a nice plumb bob. The quick-stabilizing feature works, and helps make the plumbing experience a better one. NIce mass, and nice to use. I prefer this to the plain ol' brass versions that are most commonly available.

I have not had the opportunity to use it as yet but it is a replacement for my broken 14 oz and it worked great and this one hooks up the same, the magnet holds it very well. I'm planning to buy another 14 and an 8 oz as well in the future. Just wish it were made in the US.

This stabilizes very quickly and is nicely built. Am VERY happy with it. We all played with it a lot when it arrived trying to get it to not stabilize.. and it was fun .. but it worked every time. Most impressed.

After doing some research and reading reviews I decided to get this plumb bob and a gammon reel. I love the cap for the tip and the rubber sides. As a surveyor working on major freeways next to 70+ mph texters, the fast stabilization comes in handy for quick use. Perfect weight for gammon reel.

I guess given it's weight of 21 oz / 600g I should've expected it to be big. It's over 6 inches tall. But I will admit I was surprised. This tool is a must in two senarios. 1) You are plumbing over a long distance, say between floors in a building. 2) Outside in the wind. Well it was windy the day I plumbed holes for some conduit work and boy was I glad this monster was in my bag! Even with 25 mph gusts, it didn't budge! NICE! What else can you say about a weight on a string? I will say the rubber rings on the sides are nice if you're working close to painted surfaces, again especially considering it's heft.

I would have given this plumb bob five stars if it had come with the string (I had to buy some string and attach it myself)
