Supplement for home practice
Because my child’s school uses this series in the classroom, having this at home provides a familiar format and instruction for practicing piano at home.I cannot speak to how well it would be as a stand alone book to learn from, but it does seem fairly easy to follow.

Good for beginners with previous knowledge
This book was required for one of college courses so I ordered it without knowing much about the book itself. As someone who has previous knowledge of piano, I find this book to be a review of very basic concepts in music theory and piano performance. You are mostly expected to know the notes on both the treble and bass clef, but if you are a complete beginner you will most likely catch on quickly. I'd recommend this for someone who has an understanding of what note belongs to each key, and has perhaps read very very basic sheet music already.

A good book, but not being able to hear the audio is frustrating
I tried working with this book for 2 weeks with my piano class, but I found it frustrating to not be able to listen to the audio. I guess this book was supposed to have a CD or some way to play it, but it didn't.Instead I found the same book on iBooks for a bit more money, but the audio parts were playable so I can get a gauge for whether of not I'm playing to the right beat and resting when I'm supposed to.Overall, the pace of this book is really good. It feels like it's fast enough to where you're always a little panicked but not so fast that you become discouraged. I would recommend this to a new learner, but I wouldn't recommend getting the paper book or the kindle version because neither allow you to hear the audio samples.

A great companion during 2020!
I found this book by looking up the syllabus at a local community college on what book they used for their group course. I was a bit worried about starting a Piano journey at 31 but this book made it very approachable and helped me build my confidence in pushing forward. This book is just fine on its own and pro-tip if you YouTube the name of the book and the page number there are some videos of folks who have lessons using this material and other students you can compare yourself against. I went from no piano experience to playing their Für Elise in the supplemental repertoire in about 6 months. I consider myself an average learner. I bet some folks will get there quicker/slower than that.

Great for Beginners!
I have been using this book for my music course in community college, and so far it had helped me a lot with learning how to play the piano. This book includes the proper hand playing position, how to read sheet music, and more. As you progress thru the book you will be able to play more and more difficult pieces. It's best to slowly progress thru this book and practice each new lesson/segment until you have grasped it well.

A useful tool for beginners
Product is helpful. Occasional jumps to places at startups. Otherwise will aid in timing for exercises in the units of study. Many and varied sounds to familiarize yourself when unsure of them.

Great book for beginner enthusiasts
Easy enough to follow for a beginner. Good practice pieces and very useful little reads about music theory for each unit.

So far so good. The book is written in American English so some terminology is different. Eg: quarter note as crochet, etc.
