Holds tight in sheetrock/wall board
After locating, marking and installing around 70 of these suckers, then mounting 18 brackets to hold 6 shelves, I would say that I am quite pleased with the quality and performance of the Duoblade, self drilling Drywall anchor. There is a little bit of a learning curve in making sure you get the anchor started without the tip breaking off (trying to push at an off angle) and making the mistake of predrilling a small hole, which is not needed. I used the inserts in 1/2" greenboard drywall during a bathroom remodel to install brackets for a semi-floating shelf layout. After some trial and error, here is what I found worked best for me: To install, place the pointed tip of the anchor on your location mark. While applying pressure to the tip of an appropriate sized screwdriver, I gently rocked the anchor back and forth a tad until I could see the tip start to disappear into the sheetrock core. I did not have much success with just drilling the anchor until the tip had broken through to the backside of the sheetrock. Once the black tip has disappeared, a bit of a push on the screwdriver should pop the anchor deep enough that the threads start to engage the surface of the wall board. At this point, it is easy to screw the insert into the wall. Please note: With a lot of these screw in wallboard anchors, the threads are so aggressive that they tend to auger some of the sheetrock material outward, making it difficult to get the insert flush with the surface. I kept a little razor knife handy to clean this extra material out of the way once the insert was about 1/8" from contacting the surface. Once the screw is inserted (attached to whatever you plan to hold up) into the anchor, I did find that I could back the screw out without the anchor coming out; not so with other, similar products. I am happy with this purchase.

Best drywall fasteners for medium to larger applications
Folks that complain about it not coming with screws or instructions about the screws get 1-star for not reading the product title. These will work with #4-#8 screws as listed in the title. Derp. I use a #8 x1 1/2 stainless steel screw for almost all applications. See photo. I have used it with #6 screws a few times. Screwing them into drywall is easy but go slow when installing them. Once the grey plastic screws start to go they dig in quickly so go slow and use a looser clutch and/or speed. Someone else mentioned having to use a posidriv bit. This seems correct. I use a S.2 square bit and it works fine as well. Standard Phillips-head bits won’t work. If you get annoyed changing bits then just get posi or square head screws. I’ve written this review after using up my first box. A second box is on its way.

Solid choice for sheetrock
These were well-reviewed before I started using them, which led to my purchase, but I've now been through a box of these for various clients and they work great. The design is steps above what typically ships with an item, and more than just thin plastic. Great product, easy to use, and long-lasting.

If you have crap for dry wall.....
These really work!!! They do actually what they advertise to do. I wish their instructions were clearer and easier to read. But other than that I am about to buy my second box.

Better than Others
These Dry-wall anchors are the best for the money. Stronger grip than the drywall it is attached to. I also appreciate the quick delivery!

Super easy to drive into drywall, different to the all plastic models the threads do not wear out. Glad Fischer put some thought into this product.
