It is high pigmented makeup set is hypoallergenic, formulated with mineral oil, and not tested on animals. It is also Formaldehyde and Sulfate free so it should not be an issue for at least a couple of years. With all make-up, if it looks bad, throw it away.

Is there fallout from the shadows?

No if is very little my granddaughter just loves an colors are good for teens there are some colors that require vetting but as cosmetologist this gets thumbs up
