where is it made. not buying anything from china ever again?

It is made in China but stay tuned we are working on an American made tire thumper and should be done in a couple of months.

Where is it made? And is it actually solid hickory?

I suggest to go to hardware store in USA. Pick up a straight grain Hickory handle for a oval eye tool like a pick ax. These are 36" long. Make the purchase, take home, cut it in half, smooth cut edge. Taper area to fit hand. wrap hand area in friction tape. Put hole in end for a lash if you wish. Add a track shoe spike in end near handle. Coat with stain or polyurethane. Your total cost for 2 tire thumpers will be about $6. each. You will have an AMERICAN made tire thumper with American Hickory It will have the extra benefit of a stud for smashing out a cars windows in an emergency. Cut out the middleman

When will this product start to be made in the USA ? purchased one and returning it because of the poor quality.
