Great book!
I love the books for dummies, because I'm a dummy and I don't like to read. I find these user friendly for me to read and understand.

Very happy with this!
I love that it keeps it simple. It also gives tips and hints that add depth to the meat of the chapter. This book covers many many issues that people deal with, some of which may not apply to you, but that's okay! Life is always changing and, while it may not apply to you today, it very well could many tomorrows from today. This is a book that should be kept in the home and re-read over and over again as a reminder of the proper way to view our feelings and thoughts. It has helped me tremendously with rumination and negativity. Without spilling my guts in this review, let's just say that we all have periods in our life in which rethinking our initial reaction would be to our best benefit. I loved the section where it spoke about up to at least nine different ways to interpret the same situation!!!! I have to admit that its true. Our feelings and beliefs shape the way we interpret life. I highly recommend everyone make use of this book for improving on life's journey.

Recommended by my therapist, save yourself tons of time and money in therapy and try it!
If I had gotten this book at the beginning of therapy I could have saved so much time and money! It’s a fast and clear 101 class, and if you're new to therapy this is a must! The quality of the material discussed is very professional and legitimate. It’s not what I was expecting from a dummies book at all.

A great read with a lot of support and tools. As with any self-help, one has to stick with it.

What you needed to be told
This book doesn't have any mind-blowing revelations in it, and that's fine. It puts to terms things that I have struggled with forever, helping me categorize and identify the things I need to stop doing. Definitely recommended, even if you don't have some sort of behavioural disorder.

I bought this to supplement my CBT every week. It keeps it fresh in your mind between sessions with helpful exercises.

I thought I was buying a new book but it is used
I thought I was buying a new book but this book appears to be used. The binder and cover are cracked and bent. Some pages are bent as well.Not happy about this purchase since I could have bought it under the used section and spent less money
