So pretty and easy to use!
Love this epoxy kit! So shiny and really makes huge difference. I used this over countertops that I painted using acrylic paints. I also mixed crushed crystal mica powder to give it that sparkle (if you do this- mix the mica In the epoxy for about two minutes before you add the activator) and it really looks like granite. The pictures don’t do it justice. The kit is user friendly and comes with detailed instructions and is portioned out to simplify the process. They also include instructions on how to do the backsplash but I am doing something else for that. I had a heat gun and tweezers for bubbles but that really wasn’t an issue with this. About two hours after pouring, I noticed a hair in it (should have worn a hair net or a hat) I pulled it out and used the heat gun to level it and it’s perfect. If you don’t have a heat gun, a hair dry let should work fine- just be sure it isn’t dusty. All in all this is a great kit and I’m glad I tried it! It’s much better in person but I hope the pictures help!

Beautiful finish
The instructions are easy to follow. I also watched the video on how to do the veining. Turned out beautiful. Epoxy was easy to mix and pour. Self-levelled perfectly. This one is a little more expensive than other brands but I tried the cheaper and it looked yellowish and did not level and left waves in the countertop, which I then had to remove and redo with this brand. Do not waste your time or money on the cheaper stuff. This is what you need. I will say that it does stain somewhat if something sits on it too long and there are some spots on the edge that have chipped, but I think maybe we stretched it a little further than we should have because we were worried we didn't have enough epoxy. I will probably replace with a stone countertop in a few years but this is pretty enough to get by until then.

3rd times a charm. Live and learn.. now love it!
Be patient, confident and ready. First time turned out pretty good but I didnt stay in the room long enough... after I left more bubbles appeared, a few pieces of fuzz and a bug landed on my countertops. And I found a fist size spot I completely missed. I realized then I should have just stayed and stared at the countertops for over an hour. I purchased another epoxy set thinking I could just fix those spots. Turned out terrible. 3rd try I purchased 3 more sets. Sanded, cleaned, sanded, cleaned, sanded, cleaned everything. Started from scratch. I took my time double checking every square inch multiple times. Stayed around the kitchen for a couple of hours. It looks beautiful! Super happy. Its not hardest its not easy because so many things can go wrong.. so be prepared and patient and ready... you dont have too much time to correct spots before it starts to set and dry.

Overall very happy. Use the upgraded epoxy
Found the cabinet & countertop kits easy to use. Preparation is essential and follow curing times. My counter showed some wear after 2 years so I just upgraded to the better epoxy kit after my touch up. It is far superior to the epoxy sealer that comes with the counter kit. Worth the extra $100 for durability and a shine that looks much more like granite. Can’t speak for durability yet so only 3 stars

Obsessed with my painted countertops now
So glad I ordered this kit, rather than mixing & measuring my own epoxy. I used this kit over the Giani White Diamond granite kit and it looks absolutely amazing! HIGHLY recommend. The high shine it gives to the counter makes it look like it could be real stone. Some tips for future users: - Really make sure you cover your lower cabinets & floor. This stuff is EXTREMELY sticky and drips off the edge a lot. Also, ladies, pull your hair back. I got the smallest amount in my hair & was a nightmare to get out. - I did experience some slight bubbles & ‘blemishes’. Did my best with tweezers to get it all, but going into the project I knew it was not going to come out perfect so I was ok with it. Especially being around a kitchen sink, some water left some marks in the epoxy. You really cannot notice it much in the long run anyways though. - Give it the full 7 days to cure before using! If you’re impatient like me, you’ll want to use them sooner than later, but it is worth it to wait. It’s very simple to use if you follow the directions & watch some videos (the Giani Marble video on their YouTube was very helpful for me). Pictures don’t do the high shine any justice. They look amazing!

Very disappointing
This is the second kit I purchased and had vastly different results than the first time. The first time I transformed my bathroom counter and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Next, I decided to tackle my kitchen and I am so disappointed with the results. I did everything exactly the same as in my bathroom but the epoxy didn’t fully cure this time. I did not use my counters for a full seven days and the first time I used them by putting a coffee cup on it, the cup left a ring indentation. I waited a few more days before trying again and had the same result. A full two weeks go by and I just said the hell with it and put my kitchen back together. It has been less than a full month and there are scratches on the counters from pushing a wooden cutting board across it, my Keurig keeps sticking to the counters and leaving indentations each time I slide it out from under the cabinet to use it, and plates leave marks just by sitting on the counter with normal use. Any normal use results in scratches. I’m going to have to redo the whole counter just to fix the mess that this kit has made. I bought the first kit from Home Depot so maybe ones from Amazon are expired or something. I can’t get the rings and scratches to show up in photos like you can see with the naked eye but a video shows them a little. I am attaching a video of some of the scratches and one of the cup rings that doesn’t come off when I try to remove it. This all looks a lot worse in person.

I redid ky kitchen countertops over the holidays and this epoxy coating gave them a solid finush. Working with epoxy is difficult and time consuming but the results are worth the effort. I am loving my new kitchen. Already ordered more for my bathrooms. Will let you you how it holds up overtime.
