I bought this for my elderly mom because she didn't have the strength anymore to use our old can opener. I must say at first it was a little difficult for her to use. Trick is to make sure it's correctly aligned. Took a couple of tries for her but now she's a pro and has bought one for my sister and even as a housewarming gift for a friend. It opens the xan on it's own, hands free. Plus, there is a magnet that will hold onto the can cover as you throw it in the trash. You can then touch the cover because there are no jagged edges to cute yourself with. Smooth edges all around. It is also very well made and sturdy. You can keep it in a draw as it is not overly big. Comes in great colors too.

I have never owned a powered can opener before, so please base my rating accordingly. I have had this one about a month now. OK, so my hands hurt. Bad. I'm generally getting weaker with age but the arthritis in my hands has caused loss in grip strength to the degree I can no longer use a hand-crank opener. I reviewed quite a few and decided to give this one a try. It works very well. Its takes almost zero effort to use. I like the sleek design with how easy it is to keep clean. It takes 2 AA batteries. It's a bit noisy, but maybe that is how electric can openers are ? It is not fast. When you mount it to the top of the can and push the start button, it works its way around the can and cuts the lid with ZERO sharp edges. It does NOT turn off on its own. You must push the start/stop button, otherwise It will just keep circling the can. There is no "click" to indicate that it has finished its task.... It fits neatly in my silverware drawer. Overall I really like this opener. It seems to be popular based on ratings. Mine is blue and white. Very attractive.

This opens all cans that I have used it for. I could not be happier with its ease of use and how cleanly it cuts. That said (and this is the "but..." of my review title) is that after about 18 months of use, the head that houses the blade got off kilter (bent to one side) and no longer cuts lids. I tried to set it straight with some pliers, but it is just not possible. So, into the trash. Do I buy another one? Hmmm...yeah, I guess so.

When my old can opener died, I tried this one and was surprised as to how easy it is to use! Since many cans now have tabs, I was skeptical whether this would work. Not only does it work very easily, it doesn't leave the lid sharp for the Recycle people to deal with. It is small enough to fit in any drawer. (However, it doesn't come with batteries, which are necessary for use.)

I am in my late 60’s and got to the point where it was difficult for me to turn the handle on the handheld type of can opener. Although a little pricey, I decided to give this a try. It did not disappoint! I did have to watch the video on how to operate a time or two, because it does not work like a handheld or the electric ones that sit out on the counter. But once I got the hang of it, I can’t imagine using anything else!

I have used another brand and realized you want one that you can easily open to insert batteries. This one is easy to open and install batteries. It opens cans with ease with no rough edges. Works great!

I got this because I'm disabled and traditional can openers were hard for me. This is the closest thing to hands-free you can get. Just set it on the can and push the button. No need to hold or turn anything. It's magnetic and easy to get into place on the can. The button is large and easy to push. When it's gone around once, just hit the button again to stop it. (If you're visually impaired, there is an audible click when it hits the start point.) Then, you can just lift the top of the can off. It's leaves a smooth edge and, while I wouldn't suggest purposely running your fingers along the cut part of the can, I haven't managed to accidentally cut myself yet. It has opened every can I've used it on without incident. It's small enough to go in the drawer, but if something hits the button, it WILL start and run out the batteries or make you tear apart your kitchen to find the sound. Luckily, it comes it a lot of colors and looks cute enough to leave on the counter.Addition info: It does make a sound, but it's not super loud. With some cans, the cut is so good I can put the top of the can back on and store the remaining product in the fridge. It's not airtight obviously and it will come off if you knock it over, but it beats a piece of aluminum foil.

My hubby has trigger finger in both hands. He can’t open anything with a standard opener. This is super easy to use for him. Set it on top, push the button and go about your business until the deed is done. I love it too!Thank you!!!!

This Can Opener was advertised to be awesome. And I totally agree. I love how it opens the can on the side and there are no sharp edges. I had a manual one like this and it started to act up and I can’t seem to find this kind anymore so I was very happy to see this one. I bought 2 one for home and one for the cabin. It works so well even on the cans that have the tabs to pull of the lid. If you have only one can opener this is the one to have. You just put it on the can and push the button. Sooooo easy to use. This is a must have.

Buono, batterie non incluse, ne vuole 4 taglia AA.Si posa e si preme il bottone, dopo ciò fa da solo. Non appena fa un giro si preme nuovamente il tasto per fermarlo.Con i barattoli da 800gr di pelati (quelli classici) la calamita non serve a nulla ma non è affatto un problema, il tappo si sfilerà tranquillamente con le mani. Inoltre lo taglia in modo che possa esser riutilizzato come tappo del barattolo aperto, provare per credere.Non è affatto un prodotto da uso intensivo, ma vale i soldi spesi ed è sempre meglio di un apriscatole manuale!!Ottimo
