Remote reducer!!! Great product!
Perfect. Keeps me from having to keep up with 3 or 4 remotes.

Good Remote, worth the money.
Meets all of my needs for a remote. If you are looking for one remote with ease of use and setup, then this is for you. The only reason it gets four start is because of a few convenience features.1. More raised up on the ends so the buttons do not rub or get pushed on the other side of the remote.2. Plastic to keep the screws to keep the from falling out when changing the batteries.

Doesn’t fit the newer FireTV remotes, IR code list not comprehensive
This device says that it fits “most” FireTV remotes - if you buy the newest FireStick 4 K that remote is too far and doesn’t fit. But it didn’t matter. I have a late 2000s Yamaha receiver (still quite functional for 5.1 surround sound) and the Yamaha receiver/soundbar codes didn’t work. And the remote can’t learn the few IR codes that I needed. So it ended up useless for me and was returned. Ended up purchasing the simpler, but programmable, sidekick for FireTV and that worked fine.

Not a bad alternative to the Sofabaton
We have a SofaBaton F2 Universal Remote Attachment for our bedroom. We really liked the idea of having one less remote to control our devices. The SofaBaton F2 allowed us to combine our TV remote with our Gen 1 Fire TV Stick remote. This was great until our Gen 1 Fire TV Stick started moving like molasses. Unfortunately the Fire TV Stick Lite is not compatible with the SofaBaton F2. We considered getting another SofaBaton U1 (which we have in our den and sitting rooms) so we could control the TV, the Fire TV Stick, and the DirecTV Genie. However, we wanted to see if there was something else out there that would get us what we needed without the U1/U2 programming overhead. This device appeared to fill that bill, and we liked the fact that it was a lot like the SofaBaton F2.One quick tip: The screws that hold down the battery cover were a little tight, probably too tight. One came off easily the second one did not and we were afraid of stripping the screw. We did finally manage to get it off but decided not to use them as the battery cover appears to hold just fine without the screws.Pros:- Fits our Fire TV Stick Lite perfectly.- Relatively easy to program (We had a false start because we were too eager to program it and missed some key steps in the instructions 😂)Cons:- The overall design of the remote should be recessed just a hair more to avoid accidentally pushing buttons when flipping from one side to the other. I don't think this is going to be a big problem but I can see why other reviewers pointed this out.- When in Cable/Satellite mode, the power button only powers off the DirecTV box (the power buttons on the DirecTV remote will power off both the TV and the DirecTV Genie box). Despite walking through DirecTV's settings for programming this remote to control the TV, when you are in Cable/Satellite mode, the only TV controls we can use are the volume and mute on the TV. To power off the TV, we always have to switch to TV mode. (not a showstopper but not totally convenient either)All in all it's not a bad unit. One thing that's cool is because this device serves as a cradle for the native Fire TV stick remote, we get Alexa voice command features. (Something we don't get from the Sofabaton U1.)

Philips Fire TV Companion Remote offers the best value for a remote control
I bought this remote in "Fire TV Companion" variant. We have an LG 3D TV (for which remote is missing), a Samsung DVD Player, a Dish Network DVR, and Fire TV, in the setup. Since we don't have the remote for our TV, I have been using a Logitech programmable remote, but for convenience, we still continued to use all the other remotes as well. Basically we had 4 remotes lying around to control each device. Yes, Logitech can control them all, but there are two problems: (1) family never got familiar with it and always resorted to individual remotes and (2) navigating the remote to access various features of each product is too much work.Fire TV (with its audio commands feature) can't be easily replaced by a universal control.I can't believe this remote is being sold at $12 (at the time of review). Instructions manual is very clear and I could setup the remote in just a few minutes (maybe 15 minutes). Manual recommend you to program each device manually, I strongly agree with that. I tried to program it automatically, but the results were not great. After manual programming, the remote is fully functional.Only feature I am missing is - Dish Network remote's skip back and forward buttons. Otherwise, everything is available including guide and recorded items. Use eject button on the left side to display recorded items.Batteries (2 AAA) are not included. Battery compartment door uses tiny screws - you will need a small Phillips screwdriver.I highly recommend this product.

I Have Four…
This remote is bulky and is double sided. The power, and volume control buttons on the edge so you can use no matter what remote is facing up. There are several reviews that detail ways in which this remote is clunky. Make no mistake, it is, but it’s great just the same.I have small hands so I have no trouble hitting only the Roku buttons or other the universal buttons. I almost exclusively watch content from the Roku, so I rarely need to other side.I have two remotes each synced to a tv, a Roku, and a sound bar, I have two others are just the TV and Roku combination.I was sick of losing multiple remotes this solved my problem. No complaints or issues getting the universal side to pair with any of my electronics. My oldest TV is an old smart 3D TV so some of the buttons don’t ‘match’ like they should, but again 99% I am only turning it off and on. Everything newer the limited buttons I use behave as expected.
