This weight plate rack does exactly what it is supposed to do. It keeps 1-inch plates organized and off the floor, which instantly made my workout space look cleaner and more functional. Assembly was straightforward and did not take long. The instructions were clear, and once put together, it felt stable and secure. The frame feels solid and does not wobble when loaded properly. It holds a good amount of plates without taking up much space, which is perfect for a home gym setup. The compact size makes it easy to tuck into a corner while still keeping everything accessible. Overall, it is sturdy, practical, and worth the money if you need a simple storage solution for standard 1 inch weight plates.

I am very pleased with this rack because when assembled it is very rigid. A few reviews complain about the rack wobbling. I found that the Allen wrench (aka hex wrench or hex key) that is included is not up to the job of tightening this rack properly. Get a good set of long hardened metric Allen wrenches so it will not round out in the bolt, and a socket set or box end set of wrenches. Tighten until the slightest amount of deformation of the steel tubes can be detected. Then it is tight enough. The U brackets will take some extra leverage to totally compress them tight against the center tube. This is why good tools are needed, and a bit of muscle. Also take note that the bottom center "peg" DOES NOT TAKE A WASHER!!!! If a washer is used then the head of the bolt sticks down too far and makes the rack "wobble" (it can be spun like a top, don't ask how I know this. LOL). The bottom tube has an extra large indentation specifically to allow the bolt head to clear the floor. Putting a washer here is probably why many reviewers complained that there was a missing washer. The instructions clearly show that no washer is used at this location. After assembly, place the rack on a hard level surface and it may wobble. At this point, loosen two of the bolts at one end, press down on the rack to level the feet and tighten those bolts again. Bingo! Its level and does not wobble. In the attached photos, the big weights on the lower peg are 12.25" diameter, 25 LBS each. They will fit one above the other on same side, with about 3/8 to 1/2 inch clearance between them. If you have Olympic weights with the 2" hole, I strongly suggest getting the Olympic weight version. Once the rack is loaded with weights, it will be difficult to move. I use a "utlity" room for an exercise room as well as other tings and need to move the weight rack around. And stability is not affected, even when pulling the loaded rack by the very top point sideways. The rack was further modified by replacing the center bottom peg with a "foot" that came with a missed weld on one side. Cap Barbell sent a replacement part and I used the old part to make a center mounted bar stand using 2" metal plumbing pipe caps and heavy duty stainless clips at the top. That is why the rack looks different from the description photos. Also back when I ordered, white was an option. Its a good rack, and with casters, it is much more manageable. But you will not be happy with the results using a pair of pliers and the included Allen wrench to assemble it. Hope this info saves you aggravation. Happy Lifting!

I am setting up a little workout space in my basement and needed something to hold my 160lbs of weights. The price was right on this!! I wasn’t expecting the ease of assembly and the quality of the product. I have the little 5lb weights on the middle post. The 25 and 50’s on the sided and i think i have a 10. I would recommend getting the rack set up in the space you want because it’s too heavy to move and you’ll have to take everything off. Its super sturdy… not just for the price but overall. One side oft the posts did not screw in as tight as the others but it does not hinder usability. The foot print is very small so it takes up a small amount of space. The coating, which i expected to reflect the cost… absolutely did not. I can tell that this will hold up well!! I would recommend for a beginner weight lifting space as it is priced appropriately and quality enough to get a newbie started!!

It's not bad and does what it needs to do. As some others have reported, it can be a bit wobby upon initial assembly. However, the bolts can be adjusted to account for that to some degree, and some mild bending can fine-tune the alignment of the base pieces. The design of the base is sort of odd but it works well enough. I spent maybe an extra minute per side adjusting the bolts and another minute doing some bending adjustment, as in slight pressure while the stand was on a hard flat surface. I got it perfectly level. Having a second person or perhaps some clamps would help to keep each base piece where you want it while you tighten the bolts. My exercise room is carpeted so I'm perhaps not as sensitive as others. Not a bad value for the price. I use it to store 210lbs of 1" plates for two adjustable dumbbells. It's solid and doesn't take up much space.

This is a high quality and surprisingly sturdy rack. It has plenty of space to hold all my 1" plates. The legs are wide enough for stability but it doesn't take up a huge amount of space.

I ordered a different one first and sent it back. Cheap, no instructions, not sturdy. I ordered the CAP rack and it is solid. Well made and holds the weight plates perfectly. No wiggle. Balanced. Great finish. Get this one
