One of the most impactful books I’ve ever read….
This book was given to me as a gift. Probably one of the most impactful books I’ve ever read when you want to learn how to really walk in the spirit. The ability to discern is completely different than the ability to use wisdom. Discernment only comes from the spirit. This book shows you how to walk in discernment, to make deeper impact on people as well as to be able to discern situation‘s to make better decisions.

Great for Christian’s and high-quality book
This man was a inspiration to devout Christians. I recommend this book to everyone! This book was recommended by Jack Hibbs, how many other Christians and pastors. The lessons you will learn in this book are wonderful and humbling. The book quality is excellent as well.

If you can receive it, this is great teaching.
The idea that we must become nothing in order to be anything is hard to accept since it goes against everything we have been taught in the world. Yet, if we are to please God, we must receive it and even embrace it. Contained in this book is the best explanation of why we are to give thanks for everything that comes into our lives. Read this book and find for yourself that what I have told you is true. I dare you.

Great book, only OK audiobook
I first read this book in paperback in the mid 90s. It is a superlative treatise on truths that are real and vital to be known by anyone who wishes to go on with God. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the reading of the Audiobook by the narrator (LJ) so much. The irony that confronted me was hearing the tone of the reader describe the beautiful truths Nee illustrates about speaking under the unction of the Holy Spirit (who is one with a Christian in spirit). Nee says to be useful in ministry or service or witnessing, we must be broken, and effectively able to let God flow out through us, to use us as the mouthpiece of God. (If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God (1 Pet. 4:11). My sense of hearing the spirit in which these truths were delivered by this narrator (LJ) was one of a somewhat intellectual and well-spoken person, but who came across to me as essentially "wrong in spirit." I can't quite put my finger on a single descriptor for the narrator's tone, but it is sort of a clipped, somewhat self-assured, and quasi high-brow tone of reading better suited for Charles Dickens or something else where you want to sound smart and confident. Dare I say I sense a pride mixed with a lack of sensing himself that what he reads is God's truth? This I sense behind the speaker's clear enunciation of the words rattled off like so much literature, not quite pedantically, but like one who wishes to make a point in a slightly snippy and instructional way. I've listened to it several times, and consistently come away non-plussed. I wish a Spirit-led Christian could be used to read this precious book, or at least one who is more neutral in their manner of speaking. The major irony is that the content in part pertains very explicitly to one's manner of tone, and this person clearly has failed to be enlightened by the very words with which he wishes to effectively instruct his hearers. How dare he sound self-assured when he shows he fails to grasp his subject by his very manner of speaking? The actual book is a must-read however, so I do heartily recommend that. I mean no offense and realize I am imperfect also. If I mis-heard the narrator, or you hear him more positively, that is possible someone else may. This is my sense as one who has been a Christian for 32 years, and an ardent follower of the teachings of Watchman Nee for at least half that time. I pray on this subject of moving with God and properly representing Him often. He has used me and I know it, and this is my sensing of things as they are for this audiobook.

A must read if you truly want to be an overcomer in Christ Jesus. John 16 vs 33 .....but take heart for I have overcome the world.

Blessed book

Written with simplicity and clarity, but intensely profound as Nee deals with issues of our spirit and how brokenness is the key to being used wholly by God. I'd recommend this book to any Christian who wants a deeper understanding of the Christian Life
