Keeping Mice Out
After two field mice invaded my house a year and a half ago, I blocked a half inch gap under the door from the crawl space to the laundry room with the Baining metal door sweep. Cutting and installing the door blocker was not difficult and the three vertical slots allow adjustment of the height to clear a low pile mat when the door is opened. To be sure the mice are stopped in the crawl space, I installed the blocker on the crawl space side and added two wood threshold strips past the blocker so that the height of the space under the door was less than the width of a pencil. Since then, no mice have made it from the crawl space into the house. 2/12/26 - Update - I ordered this door sweep again for the front door. There's no mouse issue with this door, since there's a storm door and no large gap under the door. However, cold air flows under the door corner where the original rubber strip is deteriorated. Like the other door, I will add a 1/4" high wood strip past the threshold so that the bottom of the sweep will block the air flow, but then clear the threshold and mat in the foyer.

Great, easy to cut to size and kept the rat out
We had a rat in our house and this product kept it out of our pantry. It had gotten in there under the door and ate a lot of food. We tried cheaper plastic trim and it chewed through that. Our pantry doors were an odd size but I just ordered two and was able to cut them down using tin snips. Install was easy, I appreciate the extra screws it came with. Looks good and kept the rat out after putting it up and we were shortly able to starve it out and catch it.

Nice aluminum sweep.
Good product, the glue is very strong. I suggest screwing the sweep to the door and running it through the range of swing. Only take the adhesive strip off when you're ready for final placement.

Stops rodents from entering !!
My parents had mice trying to chew through door from garage to laundry room. After a few days of searching reviews and sweep guards, only this company said what I needed to hear in their description. Trust your purchase to be just what you need to stop rodents. Take a neasorement and check it again as item has a strip of adhesive on it that's hard to release in an unsent position. Looks good as is working flawlessky.

Much better than other weather stripping, especially for preventing rodents from creeping under door
Our garage door to the outside had a similar strip, but over time it had weakened, and we were concerned cold/hot air and/or mice might be able to get into the garage under the door. I bought this, cut it to the right length and installed it on the door so it blocked that area under the door. It seems to be working great.

easy to cut and install
I have an external door that has a large gap at the bottom. The previous door sweeps we've installed would cover the gap but they were made of mostly rubber and outside rodents would easily chew their way through. This door sweep is mostly metal and covers the gap with it. The rubber portion is very minimal at the bottom and not enough to allow rodents to chew their way through. It was also easy to cut. I removed my old door sweep and used it to measure this one. Then I used a very small hacksaw to cut it, which took about 10 minutes. Two tips: use vice grips or something to hold it to a table and remove the sticky portion from the area you are cutting away otherwise the blade starts to collect all the gluey stuff making it tougher to cut.
