Robinair 10102 Side Can Tap for R12 and R134A Air Conditioning Refrigerants and Oils

Ever since they changed the design of the r134 can top, I've been having a big problem. The adapters do not seal properly to the can and you lose half the refrigerant. This can tap solves that problem! The can tap hooks directly to my A/C manifold gauge hoses. Cracking the can is a simple squeeze. Best part, the refrigerant actually makes it into the system instead of freezing the can and venting off. I had been using Robinair products for years in the shop, so I knew it would be good for the home garage.

I see reviews saying these are not strong and break when putting them on cans. I’ve experienced that this tool is strong and easy to use. I put a 22oz can in it, clearly the can was larger than the mouth of the device. The device crushed the sides of the highly pressurized can with ease and gave me flawless access to the refrigerant contents. I’ve had these useless cans laying around for years and thanks to THIS tool, I can now use them!

My Grandkids love whipped cream (they're a little chunky), and while I don't condone the of lack dietary restrictions placed upon them by my daughter Casey, I might as well have a good time with it. Anyway, I like to get a can of Reddi-Whip and tap the side with this nice clamp. I attach my R-134 hose to it and it works great to spray the kids down with whipped cream. Much better than just straight from the can nozzle - the spray is much finer and dispersed for good coverage. After I have them all sprayed head to toe I put them out back for the afternoon and let them lick it off each other. After a few hours I clean them off with the pressure washer. Great fun for everyone! If they're gonna be chunky might as well make them work for it. This can tap has worked on probably 60+ cans of Reddi Whip, so the quality is pretty good.5 CHUNKY KIDS = 5 STARS

Been using this for almost 8 years. Price was $16 back then. Some of the R134/R12 Cans are flimsy so I punch the hole at the bottom of the Can near the seam where it's tough. Love everything about it and wish I'd bought 2 of these at the time. Using it again right now th charge up a Freezer with a very slow leak.

IMHO, Robinair hit a homerun with this side can tap for 134a and oil charge cans. The build quality revealed itself on the first can I punctured with this tap. I had to throw some muscle behind my grip to get the first can to get the tap handles to lock, the second can was much easier....I've only had the tap for a few weeks now and have only punctured 22 134a and 4 oil charge cans so far..... no issues with leakage, provided a tight seal on every can. Also, if you only use part of a can, if need be you can unscrew the suction hose quickly with minimal refrigerant loss and the can tap will hold the contents of can. Although I prefer to use a top can tap for charging those last partial cans so I can easily seal and store for later usageI like....Pics below of the tool connected to 134a refrigerant and a oil charge can....

Works very well,no complaints, just make sure the hose is attached on the proper side, one end will push open shrader on unit the other wont, almost idiot proof
