No need to buy expensive BMW/Mini window regulators. These are just as good as OEM, which are poorly designed anyhow.

It was assembled incorrectly
The cable drum that is driven by the motor assembly was installed upside-down. This prevented the motor assembly from mounting flushly and securely.In the interest of time, I disassembled the regulator and reassembled it with the drum oriented correctly. This was not a simple process.Other than this issue, the regulator seems to be a good quality compatible replacement for the original equipment.

Don’t buy
So first things is if I could give this 0 stars I would. After getting the part I had to attach my old motor to it and to find that the oem gear that attaches to the assembly is way bigger so I had to spend an hour with my drill drilling it to make it big enough to fit and the holes that attach the regulator to the door don’t match up and it’s way higher so I literally had to use a shoe lace to tighten and make sure it’s snug. I know I should’ve just returned it and get a new one but my windows been half way down for a month now in Florida so I spent almost 6 hours getting this together. I recommend you to not buy this at all!!

Broke the next day. All the plastic was brittle it just broke apart putting the window down. AVOID!
