Like most people I have reached the age when I had trouble reading menus or even reading my emails on my mobile or laptop. I went through several cheap reading classes and they broke or were too heavy to take around. Then I came across the ThinOptics producs which were recommended by an American friend and I have not gone to other reading glasses since. These are very light indeed. And very thin. Being made of plastic they do break after a while, especially in the way that I punish them by sitting on them inadvertently. The only concern has been the price which on the ThinOptics Web site adds to international shipping and I thought it came too expensive. But purchasing them through Amazon this is a much better deal - even though not "cheap", it is much more in line with the price I am ready to pay for a product that is so useful and convenient. What I like most is how light they are, so I can carry it everywhere and it does not weigh in on my nose.

Love, love love these. Have prescription reading glasses, but now these were not always strong enough for reading fine text (on packaging etc). Carrying these around 'just incase' was also a pain. But these thinoptics are so easy just to slip in a pocket. More expensive than bog standard overreaders, but so much more practical for occasional use when out and about, and still alot cheaper than prescription glasses. Ultra light and well made. Only slight grip is if you drop the case it does protect the glasses but it can cause the case to come unglued. Case still works but the one face is now a little lose. Love that they haave no nose pieces (don't need them) but bear in mind the ends of the arms for over the ears are not as secure as with standard glasses. Will absolutely buy another (stronger) pair when needed....

Very slim glasses and case, yet feel very secure when on. Case seems hardwearing - one hinge pin did drop out but a pin with the shaft sl bent secured it brilliantly. Clarity of glasses good and they are as good as my prescription glasses. No more bulging pockets or broken glasses. Expensive for off the shelf readers but they do a job very well.

I liked the thinness, the fact that it's lightweight and very functional, you can just slip into a top pocket and it doesn't bulge through your shirt. Very discreet. Nice build quality too.

Nicely thin for shoving in a pocket for when I forget readers. Quality is good and vision not bad considering they aren't prescription. Looks better than many too as look like normal readers. Tried several similar, all sent back until I found these

I can't believe the glasses fit into such a slim case - neither can anyone who sees them going away into it! They are perfect to carry around in my pocket all day every day - the case closes securely so it's never opened itself, and that means the odd time I'm out - shops / cafe / restaurant - and need my reading glasses, they are right there - no more squinting because I didn't want to carry a traditional, bulky, glasses case around.

Loved them, used occasionally and perfect for taking out just incase - however the hinge just broke after 7 months for no reason - went through to support and warranty is 6 months! Feel a bit short changed!
