It doesn’t even matter. This product is completely worthless. Do not waste your money like I did.

How many pounds of dirt can you run through before having to do a clean out?

I don’t know the exact weight but I do know that I ran approximately 2 gallons of classified material through mine no miners moss just the rubber V mat and riffle metal and I placed a catch pan to see if I missed anything and I cleaned out a nice amount of gold and didn’t lose any. Be sure you have the expanded metal riffles in the proper direction they need to be angled 45 degrees the same direction as the water flow. Very nice little sluice to use in small areas with shallow good flowing water. I bent to end near the clean out screw open with some pliers to make a mouth to make the water form a V flow and it works even better
