Do they have a reasonably flat profile when walking ie small heel drop

The profile of the shoe's sole viewed from the outside is the same inside.I would say yes, they have a small heel drop. I'm 67. They are very comfortable walking.

It absolutely is removable, replaceable or you can put something else in them.
