OK, first off... I am NOT a welder. This helmet is NOT a professionals' welding helmet. It also does not come with the professionals price tag. I purchased this helmet as an upgrade to the one that came with my little Lincoln wire feed welder. It is a very nice upgrade.The bad: The material of the helmet is a little thin and flexes quite a bit, though I'm not certain this is a bad thing. Then setting up the helmet, there's lots of pieces that have to be lined up on the two pivot bolts and need to be held in place while trying to tighten the pivot bolts. Having 3-4 hands would have been helpful, I made do with just two and it took me about 20 minutes to get all the adjustments set where I wanted them.The good: Nice big picture window in front of my face. Screen kicks over to dark very quickly, then goes back to transparent based on how long of a delay you set. Make sure you peel both the inner and outer protectors off the plastic covers, and it was nice to see the helmet came with two extra outer covers for when these get spattered up. Other good points, it's light weight, balanced well when up or down, the latches that hold it up are quite positive, yet release smoothly when you nod your head. Again, once set up to fit my own personal head, it works beautifully, I'm very happy with this helmet.

First thing: I'm far from a professional welder. Well, considering I've never been paid for a welding job, that pretty much guarantees I'm not a professional welder, but I like to pretend I am.I've got a small 140 amp Lincoln MIG welder that I mess around with in the garage and lately the auto darkening helmet I purchased from Harbor Freight years ago had started to go on the fritz. It would darken way more than it should to the point of where I could hardly see anything and messing with the dials didn't help any.Although I like to pretend I'm a welder, I didn't want to pretend so much that it meant I had to buy a $400 helmet from Miller with sharks and naked women spray painted on the sides.After searching what Amazon had to offer, I decided on this unit. I like the fact that it has a large viewing area (my old one had a viewing area the size of a matchbook). It's lightweight, and feels good on my head. It's got adjustments for darkness, delay, and sensitivity and they all seem to work just fine.Since receiving the helmet, I've spent about 3 hours welding with it and it's a huge improvement over my old one. It comes with a single, clear cover replacement which is nice. I think I recall another reviewer saying it also comes with a bag, but mine did not--except for the plastic bag it was wrapped in for shipment.For me, this is the perfect welding helmet--auto darkening, large viewing area, and low price. I'm not sure how durable it is, but considering how little I weld, I expect it to last me several years. If welding puts food on your table, you likely have different opinions, but for those like me who just tinker around in the garage, I think this is a great bargain.So far, very impressed with it.

Great value. The large viewing area is exactly what I needed. Not sure why the view screen in welding helmets has been so small in the first place. I can lay a solid bead now without fail. Only complaint is that the helmet comes so that in order to use it you have to take it apart to fully remove the protective film. And to assemble the head band to to the helmet the pieces do not go back on the way they came off. Looking at the instructions and the pictures the pictures show it incorrect actually. Took me almost 20 minutes to toss the instructions aside to finally be able to assemble something that should have been ridiculously simple. Frustrating. None the less, I’m happy with the helmet so far. Time will tell if it was worth the money in the long run.I do recommend this helmet. Great buy. Thanks.

This is a prett nice helmet I think. The headgear is very comfortable and appears to be made well. The auto Tint doesn't always auto tint which is a pain, but at half the cost for what appears to be literally the exact same make and model as the $300 name brands, you cant expect everything to be perfect.I like that you can change the presets to provide a better field of view. And having the grinding setting seems like a novel idea. Although I have not used that setting set.I use it with a flux-core welder and with a custom setting, works fabulous. The helmet really covers your head and neck well too. I have a bigger head circumference and the gear has room to spare which helps when I'm wearing a welders cap.All in all, excellent helmet.

**UPDATE** After the intial review the seller reached out to me and provided another sheild and a partial credit for my troubles. I have yet to put the new shield in as I have finished my welding project, as for the seller, they stepped up and provided me with great customer service. I have since changed my 1 star rating to a 5 star based on the service I have received. Well apparently these helmets are junk. I don't know about everyone else but $75 is a pretty good chunk of change and I don't like wasting my money and that is exactly what I did with this helmet. No matter what shade or sensitivity level you set this on it does not darken enough. I am new to welding and don't know a lot, but I do know that I am not supposed to be seeing spots after I lift up the hood.

I've ordered 2 of this helmet and both turn on when first arrived but died shortly after and won't recharge.Had to go buy a princess auto helmet that has worked flawlessly since purchased.

L’écran LCD s’éteint tout seul! Même avec des piles neuve!🤬🤬!! Les boutons d’ajustement sont très fragiles et ne fonctionnaient plus après une journée d’utilisation!! On est d’accord qu’on appuie pas souvent dessus une fois régler! Délais de teinte trop lente même avec la sensibilité au maximum! Je ne recommande vraiment pas ce produit! Car à part la légèreté et peut-être le confort! Le reste ne vaut pas grand chose!
