Works great with GSD!
First time buyer. We rescued a German Shepherd who was super hyper with zero leash skills. She's was no where near ready for border training and would pull horribly. Always jerking and pulling, trying to chase leaves. Anything that caught her attention. Walking her into the yard was an adventure! I watched the instructional video for this halti and followed the instructions to a tee. It worked! Using a treat to slip it on and trying for a few days did the trick. It took about a week for our dog to wear it all day, but she did and it was so easy to walk her. I also bought the training lead as well and it's a great fit. My GSD walks so easily now and her leash manners have improved drastically. Even on stairs. Now we do a tie out when she does to do her business and I stay on the porch to make sure she's OK. This halti saved us a huge hassle and I have tried many no pull harnesses in the past. None have worked this well. It's also well made and after three months, it hasnt even frayed. We take it off at night, she gets her paw caught when she sleeps, but she wears it all day otherwise. It helped leash train her and saved me from getting pulled onto my back side. Save yourself some trouble and buy this. 10/10 and I would buy this again.

Awesome lead!
Love, love, LOVE this leash. It's solid, strong but still soft and pliable. Definitely won't hurt your hands. It has 2 clips (obviously), one larger which we put on the collar/harness, and the smaller one to make a loop to hold. You can make it shorter but lose the loop and have to just hold it in the middle. We almost never use it in the smaller configuration when walking. If we need the dogs close by, we just bunch the leash up and hold them closer. BUT: We do use it to loop around the waist for hands-free walking which is awesome! And also when you're sitting somewhere having a coffee or wine ;), hook the leash to your chair and adjust the length depending on the circumstances. I've tried using it with a front clip harness (front and back) but again, I don't like the lack of loop and besides, we moved away from front clip harnesses for other reasons. I also tried it as a connector leash for 2 dogs (we have a second halti lead) but they don't walk well together so that didn't work. One is big and wants to run run run, the other small and wants to heel. I can see it working when you have 2 well-behaved dogs who know how to walk together though. In summary: best leash I've had. Soft but strong, great quality, and super versatile.

helped pulling within DAYS!
i have a large puppy, 8 months old and 60+ lbs, naturally, he pulls a lot and is stronger than i am. a regular harness improved his pulling but he continued even with attempts to train. noticing some dogs had what looked like a "double lead," i investigated and found the halti leash. having slipped and fallen multiple times now due to pulling, i was desperate to try anything. upon receiving the leash, i tried several different "methods" with it, which was nice, because it let me work out what would be most successful for my dog! i've settled on the waist leash "setting" as the most comfortable and useful method for reducing pulling. after just a week using it this way, his pulling has MASSIVELY improved! it's been VERY HELPFUL! i'm so much less tired after a walk, and no more shoulder pains. gives me the freedom to have my hands free and use phone, give treats, pick up poop, etc. my only complaint about this leash is that the material is a bit stretchy feeling and gives me the impression it will stretch out and thin over time, this is just how it feels, not something i know for sure. would prefer something more sturdy-feeling like the nylon that's used in conventional/common leashes. however it's a very good leash and i will continue using it for as long as it holds up.

Pretty good leash with a hope for one change.
I like the grip and feel of this leash along with all the options and ways to use it. I use it in class with my dog on the shortest lenth. The drawback with the buckle in the middle is that it is heavier than you would think, so with a small dog it weighs down in front of their face at times. If they found a lighter weight metal or a good hard plastic it would work better.

No reason to buy any other brand again
Great to wear around waist and super durable. We have a 50lb schnauzer/pitbull mix and it is the perfect size. The hands free design is convenient, easy to use, and converts to a regular leash with ease. Thickness is great if your dog likes to chew on the leash.

Halti Training Leash
It's good quality but I still have to fight my Jack Russell but that is not the leash's fault! I use it on our daily 3 times a day walks. I also have the Halti harness and together they are saving wear and tear on my shoulders from his pulling and jerking. I recommend but don't expect miracles if you have a Jack Russell terrier!!!

Versatile leash, not good for chewers.
Versatile leash, not good for chewers. My dog chewed partly through it with just a couple of unsupervised (literally just back turned) minutes. The various clips are cool and functional, and I did use it to help plumb some stake sleeves for a fence project after I cut off the broken piece. Probably great for a smarter/less mouthy dog, but not sturdy for any sort of chewing shenanigans.

Lead purchased to use with the Halti Anti-Pull harness. Brilliant combination, worked instantly. Whilst it takes a little getting used to fitting both on the dog, especially if they move a lot like mine, it is worth being patient, I soon worked out the best method for us. My dog does not mind this harness going over his head either, unlike others I have tried which he seems to hate. I wish I had purchased the two Halti products 2 years ago! My dog is a Lab/Terrier cross of medium size, but a very determined & strong dog if he wants to get ahead of me. Not any more. A real win for me & he is comfortable with the harness and lead also.

prodotto come da descrizione, funzionale, ottimo per gestione a guinzaglio corto e non troppo lungo per lasciare un po' di spazio in più quando al massimo. molto morbido e resistente.

I was a little bit hesitant to buy this leash simply based on the look on the pictures. After I received it and used it, it takes me to a better and pleasant walk for my dog. My 15-month-old Goldendoodle is very energetic and pulls me a lot. My arms get hurt by his pulling when I used the traditional leash attached to the neck collar. I originally ordered a head collar together with this leash, but the size of the head collar is too small so I need to return the head collar. I temporarily used this Halti leash attached to front ring on my dog's harness (Canada Pooch). It works well although it is not perfect but I have appreciated the change while walking my dog. The quality of the leash is soft/comfortable but durable. I can either use it the long leash or shorten the leash as necessary. I find it is easier for me to hook one end of the leash on my hip/waist and this will create a good distance between me and my dog on heel position. I guess my dog feels differently by my body weigh so he normally will walk back and close to me on heel position once he attempts to pull to other direction. My hands are free in this way, but it gives me the flexibility to reach the leash and control my dog easily. Hopefully my dog will learn and get used to walk properly soon. I do not suggest the way to put the leash on the hip/waist if you are a thin person and have a big dog who likes to pull. I am quiet fit and keep an eye on my dog's action by controlling the leash with hands. Anyway, I do enjoy using his Halti leash compared to different types of leashes which I have used on my dog.
