Brilliant product!
Perfect substitute for the plastic cone of shame which my cat hates! Heโs an old boy who had a recent operation on his leg and needed the cone which would allow him to eat/ sleep in comfort. It can be turned down or up, and he tolerated it really well. It made the whole post-operation scenario so much easier. Highly recommend.

Nicely made, and to a good standard, but totally freaked my elderly cat
If you have a small cat, this is probably a bit deep. My cat weighs in at about 2.7kg, and is wee. The small size did fit her neck on it's fullest wrap, but it shuttered her off from the world so much she couldn't cope with not being able to see to the sides. She just kept going backwards until she either fell (she's old) or hit something then she'd either get stuck or just reverse in the other direction. I stiffened my spine and left her in it, but after 5 minutes she was still desperately trying to back out of it, so I gave up. I reduced the depth by about 2cm (cut off a strip and oversewed the edge), to see if that helped but it didn't. If I really had to collar her I'd go for something clear she could see through which might reduce the panic. Fortunately, the problem on her face is drying up so I think, and hope, I'll get away with having to try again.Nicely made, feels solid. The spotted external surface will likely withstand cat-claw attacks, the inside surface is soft but will shred if a cat gets at it in anger (which is probably not that likely). It's easy to get on and okay to get off. It fastens with a big piece of velcro that needs a good tug to release and is noisy, but my old girl is deaf, so she couldn't hear it! Looks cute too, if that rocks your boat.

A lot more comfortable for our kitten than the normal vets plastic cone and it looks a lot prettier
For our kitten after surgery. Vet gave us a plastic collar but she kept knocking into things but this collar is more softer, slightly padded, colourful and pretty. When she lays down is like a little pillow and she sleeps really well with it on. Would definitely recommend as even though itโs softer it still protects her from licking and nibbling her wound. Brilliant !!

I got this for my cat and it is much better than the plastic collar the vets gave her - so uncomfortable. I recommend this item ๐

Slightly heavy but serves the purpose.
My cat had a wound behind his ear, he kept scratching it and the wound wasn't healing. This collar worked very well in this case. It protected the wound from scratching and did not restrict cat's normal activities. It is a bit heavy but serves the purpose.

Smaller than I had anticiapted
I liked the look of the collar for my cat that I knew would hate a plastic collar - the description advised for a cat or puppy and came in Small and Medium but wasn't clear - my cat is quite small and so I ordered the small - however this would be far too tight for her so had to send back - shame as it was nice - decided not to order the medium in case the fit wasn't right.

Cute, but just not practical for our kitten
We loved this and our kitten looked super cute. We thought it was much better than the vet cone, which distressed her and looked uncomfortable. However, after wearing for a day, we saw the impracticalities. The hood swivelled around the kittens head and the velcro section which overlapped and was cumbersome,, sat under her chin and everytime she moved, jumped, used the litter tray, ate, it was obstructing her and worst still, she kept getting her claws caught in the material. We had to help release her many times which was dangerous when she jumped. We tried repositioning the hood but nothing worked. So this is very cute, but just not practical or safe to use for our kitten whilst she was recovering from her operation, which is such a shame.Perhaps a smaller version could be better especially for kittens and the material changed. We had purchased the smallest one but this was still too cumbersome for a 6 month old kitten.

Protects most areas
I really like this collar, and it's certainly more fetching than a cone or an inflatable donut.Using this collar to prevent my cat from reaching the area roughly between her back legs and a little forward, it took her a week to work out how to contort herself to get around it.It would absolutely protect areas further forward, and I'd happily use it for that. Just keep in mind how bendy cats are if you're trying to protect a region further back.
