A must have if you have a wooden gate that needs support. So far no rust. My wooden gate has not sagged and slider locks locks every time. Before I had the wheel I had to push the gate up to lock the latch. That's no longer an issue. The spring loaded wheel is a nice touch. My side walkway where I have my gate is not level and rough. The wheels moves easily and the spring loaded feature does not put any extra strain on the wooden fence mounting brackets as the gate opens and closes.

I attached it to the fence gate and it works great! Very happy!

Couldn't find these anywhere at local hardware stores so had to go to Amazon. They don't work well if your ground isn't perfectly flat but good otherwise.

There's no way this thing can support the kind of weight claimed in the description. With my gate, which isn't too heavy, it was unable to offer it any lift. I knew it wouldn't as soon as I opened the package. Put it this way. Can YOU, with your fingers, compress a spring rated for 125 pounds? I know I couldn't. I could almost compress this one with only one hand, and I am a scrawny dude.That made mounting it a real challenge, as it had to roll over somewhat uneven surfaces on the way to closed and when it got closed, had to line up the latch with the hook well enough to secure it. That meant I had to compress the thing until the spring bottomed out completely and then get it lined up perfectly on the vertical in order to get the latch to engage. This (not the lack of lag bolts) made it a pain to mount. (Solved with some heavy strap and pinched fingers along the way.) I'd say this thing is rated for a 20 pound load, maybe 30, not the 40-50 that my gate had at the point of mounting.

Used to hold a hidden door closed.

Does the job we needed it to do. Hard to roll if rocks are in the way. Wish it was a rubber tire but it's hard plastic
