As much as I like road flares for their dramatic light and uses in photography, I've worried that they're basically a candle on a timer. I bought this pack to add to my truck's emergency preparedness kit. These LED "road flares" are actually eight individual units with an outer rubber inclosing. They feel solid, durable and are work as intended. I was surprised by the light variation, there are different emergency patterns. A single click on the power button cycles through different flashing/still/dim light configurations. I was pleasantly surprised by the additional utility features included. Each unit has a pretty strong magnet that sticks firmly on vehicles, a plastic hook for hanging and a double-click flashlight in the center. These little guys make an excellent addition to my kit, hope I never need to use them! Only negative, each unit requires 3AAA batteries that are NOT included. 3x8=24 batteries.

These have flexible ribs spaced around the outside for protection. The battery compartment is a little hard to open which is a good thing because it seals up the unit from water damage. The selection of led flashing sequences, steady on, non flashing is great. I like the strong magnet on the bottom. The case that it comes in is very handy to keep them all together. Very good design!

Wanted to get a set of LED flares as a "just in case" for the car. They are solid and most importantly the gasket seems good and snug so if I would need these in bad weather they won't fail. Keep in mind there are no batteries included so you will need aaa's 3X4. They have several flash patterns which give different run times depending on which one you select. It also has three white LED's for work light purposes, a hook for hanging and a magnet. Feel better having these in the car.

Just got them. I'll echo what others have said - they seem durable enough, but having to use a screwdriver to replace the batteries is a non-starter. I should have looked around some more. I like the idea of the white lights, but lets face it by the time I need to use these bad boys the batteries are gonna be dead and even if I had spares, who's gonna find a screwdriver in the middle of the night while broken down on a busy highway. -- bottom line - consider the features vis-a-vis others before you buy. These may be a great buy for you, but not so much for me.

I had to get a pair of these after one of my mechanics at work showed them to me after I had a breakdown at work. These things are incredible! There are several different modes that can be used, they come in a four pack and I've actually witnessed the lights getting ran over by a normal car and the only thing that happened to them was that it turned off. Very well constructed, I now keep a pair with me at work just in case it happens again!

This is a highly valuable pack for the money. It contains bright orange LED’s for distant visual clarity. There are 8 or 9 different LED modes in which the pattern flashes. Simple on and off button with clear instruction page makes it easy to pick up and start using. Also it carry’s a multi-use flash light for emergency situations by hitting the power button quickly twice! It also contains a magnet and hook for convenient display or placement. The LED’s take 3 triple AAA’s per each unit. They seem to be highly durable and water tight! I highly recommend these road safety lights for anyone traveling! As advertised; better than the good ones purchased months ago. Illumination\flash patterns provide better flexibility than previous ones. Reasonably compact for storage. They are good value.

These are really nice and are very bright and have several settings. Everyone should have these in their car.

Keep these in your care JUST IN CASE! I had a puncture and since new cars no longer come with a spare, I had to wait for the RAC, I was on the corner of a duel track, at the time I didn't have my lights but have gotten these since, they are magnetic to the car if you prefer, but the VERY bright strobe light is excellent if places on the road too. I wont get caught out again.
