Good art hanging system addition

If you have picture molding, these are worth the purchase. I installed picture molding in our living room, and these made the world of difference when displaying our artwork.

These hooks are excellent in every respect. They fit a heavy-weight plastic coated cable.

I used uncoated wire cable with these hooks. Initially I could not thread the cable into the hooks even though I was depressing the top botton. The trick is to keep the button depressed and insert the cable while turning the cable in the direction of twisted wires ( counter clockwise in the case of my cable). Also, make sure you have a clean cut cable with no burrs sticking out or wire splayed out. The cables threaded easily this way and seem to lock tightly in position.

Like to weight for hooks, hanger and line Paintings are valuable and weights seem variable depending on which part of system you buy

These slide down with most framed pictures.

Working great

I bought these to hang pictures on 2 mm wire, as prescribed. It is difficult to thread the wire through the device and I ruined quite a few wire lengths. The bag came with instructions to screw the side screw tightly, but there is no side screw, so that was confusing. Two of them failed to work completely. Considering that each hook costs nearly $4, this is an expensive purchase. Now I've got a lot of 2 mm steel cable and need more hooks, but don't want to waste my money on these again.
