Standard Process Neurotrophin PMG 90 T

I should preface this review with that I am not one to believe in supplements, but was willing to try this for our dog. Neurotrophin PMG was prescribed by our vet for our Golden Retriever for her petit mal seizures. She has mild epilepsy and the seizures are brought on by excess fat accumulating on her brain. In addition to a low fat diet, I give her 4 tablets a day. A low fat diet was not enough to eliminate the seizures. With Neurtrophin PMG, her seizures have all but gone away. The one she has had in the 6 months she has been taking this supplement was only a few seconds long and very, very mild. I highly recommend speaking to your vet about this supplement if your dog has seizures. You should know that this is available from many vets and many health providers for $15 a bottle. I bought it once here until I found it for so much less. Call the manufacturer and they can tell you where you can purchase it locally.

My doctor recommended these and they are a great homeopathic addition to my Western meds. I sometimes buy them from another company for a lower price but if I need them asap, Amazon delivers.

Product came on time. Do not know yet how it is working as it is the first time purchased. Came highly recommended.

I use this for my Rottweiler who started having seizures like twice a month. It has slowed it down quite a bit, but not all together. I checked with my Vet before I gave this to him and he said it should be ok because of it being all natural. His seizures aren't nearly as bad as before he started taking this. I would recommend it to anyone who has a problem with their dogs and seizures.February 2,2014I just wanted to up date this review. Since I wrote this my Rottweiler hasn't had anymore seizures since November 3, 2013I took him to the vet on 1/31/14 to get his annual check up, they did blood work up on him, he's doing excellent. Vet checked his eyes and said everything looked great, keep giving him the Neurotrophin PMG. He really is doing Great, couldn't be any happier. If your having this problem with your dog, give ita chance may take a little time. I give him 2 pills each morning before he goes for a walk and before we feed him.

I have MS & a naturopath suggested I try this product. It may help. I do not know for sure

Ok Product

My son and I both start our day with this product -- it helps with mental clarity, energy, and mood. We both have the MTHFR gene variation and the natural B-vitamins plus other ingredients have been very helpful. We also take several products from Ancestral Supplements to mitigate the effects of MTHFR, and they seem to combine well with Standard Process' Neutrophin PMG for overall mood and energy support.

This is an interesting supplement. I am still learning things about it. It's main purpose is to help your immune system from attacking your body incorrectly. Just like all the autoimmune diseases, that is what our immune system is doing. From what I have been told, Neurotrophin acts as a decoy in your blood to steer you immune system away from what it is attacking and gives your body a chance to recover and hopefully heal and reset the immune system. I am in the process of using this on my son. He has P.A.N.D.A.S. I have seen some benefits, but it does take months to work. It has a pretty big battle to fight so that is understandable and with no side effects so it's no wonder it would take some time.
