They help us divide our troubles, create fun, share our celebrations, and stand by us in good times and in bad. They remember to apologize and forgive each other. That's a lot of goodness!But the real message of this book is: Friends do not have to look alike. And yet both children and adults struggle to learn to befriend individuals whom they perceive as "other." In fact their differences often help us in significant ways. Used in shape breathing class activity

We bought this along with a dozen other books. The themes were recommended by a child psychologist after an unfortunate incident with a bullying adult(!) that left us in an unsure and unsafe space, mentally. Our 4.5 year old immediately fell in love with this book. It is simple, yet, profound, in describing how a little boy might feel about his friends. I would recommend it for any little child. The silliness in the writing really appeals to kids while the message appeals to parents. I might buy more copies as gifts.

My kiddos really enjoyed this book! It was fun to name the shapes as well see what could be made with the shapes to illustrate friendship and relationship.

cute book...it is funny when the students get the jokes...recommended for 5 and up.

A great story that teachers our son about friendship! We read this at least once per week and its a great read as a parent as well!

Sorry but I sent this to my 7 year pld grandson! I'll have to ask him if he likes it. He lives 1800 miles from me, after we talk I will update my review if necessary. I gave it a 5 based on the reviews I read and feeling that no star should be lost to the unknown.
