Campbell Essential Biology with Physiology

For an introductory Biology class this is a really good supplemental study aid. I have a terrible lecture professor who barely skims the material, so this text has really helped me attain a better grasp of the material. It is written in very plain language, although there are some particular chapters in the book which are so densely packed with information, anyone can get bogged down by it very quickly. (Cells - omg.) Some of the chapters are short, while others are long, so don't get "used" to a certain time period that you will study for, as for me it varied between half an hour to read a chapter to almost two hours. Even more if you're going to take notes at the same time.Anyway thank you to the writer and publisher for making this text available as a rental - it saved me so much money, and the content of the book itself is very well organized and written.

The book was in great condition when I received it, not to mention that it came fast. Thanks because this was exactly what I needed for my Bio class and helped me so much this semester! Highly recommend both the seller and book if you need it for a Bio class for college! I earned an A- and it was mostly due to the studying I did with this book!! :)

I opened the box and all I could smell was weed. The previous owner probably rolled one on my book. It was a disgusting smell and I had to put it outside so I didn't get high. The book condition was also very poor, but as a college student I'll take the discount. I would just appreciate it if my next book didn't smell like a joint. Also there was grass in my book, NOT marijuana, but actual grass from a park or a playground.

Needed the newer version for my College Biology class, used this older edition. Worked out perfectly fine for me & it’s A LOT cheaper than the one that was requested.

My school offered the online version but I like to flip through pages. Perfect for class, easy to understand. Love this feature Amazon has to borrow books!

I really like how the book uses real world examples and explains things in the most basic way. However, there seem to be some parts where the specific definitions of certain words, parts, and concepts is a bit unclear. But I can't tell if that's just me overthinking it, the concepts being hard, or both...All in all, it seems like a pretty decent book for my bio course

It's pathetic , the book is completely soiled , looks like used book , the cover is completely folded soily with so many scratch marks on it.Paper is not oil paper , it's like a colour photo copy paper.Coming to content of book , any high school book 9 th or 10 the grade school book will have better content than this. The content is very less , not informative.I took the book because it mentioned "with physiology" but did not have any additional information about physiology .Can be used from grade 8 to 10 only.

It is a good book for class above 9th. The pictures are vey good
