BIG-SERT by Time-Sert M10 X 1.25 Oversize Thread Repair Kit # 5012

Yes these are expensive, but they are a well engineered and effective solution to repair critical threads. I used a separate cobalt drill but provided bottoming and roll taps. Very happy with this kit.

Used to repair blind headbolt holes on a d16z6. Seemed to work very well, feel sturdy!!!the previously stripped hole can now have a head stud in it torqued to the 60 Ft lbs ARP reccomends. Will it hold boost???

The kit includes everything you need (except a tap wrench) and is easy to use. Make sure you follow lubrication instructions when using the tap and driver so nothing breaks. If you don’t have a tap wrench be sure to get one because you’ll need it. I used a little motor oil as opposed to cutting oil for everything and used the kit to restore 3 oversized stud bores to original on my 22RE exhaust side. It’s been about 2 weeks and the exhaust leak is still gone. 👍🏽

2001 Honda Civic lx. Repaired the Timing belt tensioner bolt hole, Pretty expensive but considering the time and money involved in replacing the engine block it was a obvious choice to buy this instead. Unfortunately when I installed it a portion was not flush with the engine because I must have left at least 1-1.5mm of old thread in the hole and I had to grind the insert down flush which was listed as a fix on the timesert Q@A section on the website. Tightened done to correct specs and no issues. Hopefully won’t need this again but very happy to have it, thanks TimeSert

The media could not be loaded.  Serts won’t go all the way in and broke the bit used to insert sert, this kit is a pile
