I bought this set in Gray in order to sew on a quilted decorative border and use these towels in my downstairs bathroom for drying hands. One thing I really like about them is that they are slightly narrow. They measure 16" x 30" This makes them fit into the towel ring without bunching up too much but having enough towel to hang down to do a good job drying the hands. The towel is not the thickest nap I've ever seen--it's a low, loopy cotton terry made in Turkey, so these are technically real "Turkish Towels." There were a few pulls near the embroidered border. I am not sure how the dye will hold up with repeated washings: generally, darker towels fade no matter what. The towels are nice and soft. They washed up soft and fluffy. I wanted a lower pile because I'm going to sew on a quilted decorative border above the embroidered border, and so I didn't want anything too thick. These fit the bill perfectly, and six towels at the sale price came out to four bux apiece, which is a good price for a decent towel that is far better than the ones from the dollar store. I'm not sure I'd buy the entire set for bathroom towels that are used heavily--but at the price and the color choice, you could do a lot worse.

These are just what I was looking for to replace my other worn out hand towels. These are great: soft and thick and durable and true to the pictured color and tone.

I checked out every towel on here and elsewhere before ordering these because I wanted something that would last a while and that would stay soft for a long time. Plus wouldn't cost me a fortune either. I ordered these in both the rose color and the green color with matching hand towels, washcloths and bath mats. Color was consistent in all of them although I ordered at different times. The rose is more of a rose pink than a bright pink like in pictures but the green is pretty much the color in the pictures. I've washed them in vinegar and laundry soap and there was a little loose lint and pink fuzz in trap but not as much as I thought. They came out feeling even softer than when they were new. They say they were made in Turkey and are 700 gsm . I compared them to some old Canopy towels that felt like the same thickness as these. I've had the Canopy ones a long time and they are no longer as soft as I want them. I think I goofed over the years on the Canopy though and put dryer sheets in with them a few times and you aren't supposed to use fabric softener with towels as they can't absorb water afterwards. I'm very pleased with the towels and the colors are beautiful! The price is great compared to some that are probably no better than these are. Guess I won't find out because even if I was rich I wouldn't pay no $60 for a towel.

I love these hand towels. The yellow is a beautiful soft yellow - not mustardy but not pale and washed out. A happy yellow. The texture is very soft and the weave feels solid. I was everything on cold and use medium spin so I don’t expect to experience shrinkage or color bleeding or unraveling. If there are any issues after washing and drying, I will update my review.

I’ve never liked the way bath towels, hand towels and wash clothes are priced in the department store. It seems the idea is to use the bath towel and a lost leader and then over charge on the ones you need the most – the hand towel and wash cloth. Thank goodness for Salbakos. These hand towels are great quality. Actually I was pleasantly surprised. They are thicker than I thought they would be. They are soft, absorbent and nice looking. I am very pleased with the quality. We’ve run them through the wash a few times and they still look great. The best feature is the price. If I had purchased these in a department store, I would expect to pay at least twice what these cost. Great quality and outstanding price.

I bought these towels for the subtle colour and was happy to see how soft they remain even after several washes.

Not even close to being luxury. Thin and not dense.

I seem to recall these being advertised as “organic”; they are not. They’re just certified to be free from certain dangerous chemicals. Otherwise, they’re decent.

Very soft and absorbant. Would have liked them to have been a bit larger.
