ATIVA14-Sheet Super Micro-Cut Shredder, A14SMC19

This is exactly what I was looking for. Takes up to 14 sheets at a time. Shreds in very tiny pieces. Perfect for security. Runs for approximately 20 minutes before you have to shut down for a 50 minute cool off.Large bin that slides out for emptying.Would highly recommend.I was able to get this on sale for 44% off which was an awesome deal.

Cuts the paper very well and very small.

Excellent quality. This shredder produces the smallest particles I've seen. It's very secure. It's also very quiet even under heavy loads. Can shred staples. The light in the bucket when you shred is a nice touch.My only complaints are the bucket hard to empty and the cut on credit cards seem too big. Better to insert card sideways so that at least it cuts the magnetic strip. No deal breaker for me as it is extremely hard to find a shredder that can produce such fine particles.If a thief can piece documents back together on this thing he probably deserves whatever he finds in the document! (no just kidding, he needs to go to jail like the rest of them)Make sure you lube it regularly our you will dramatically reduce the life if the shredder.Otherwise, I would highly recommend it.

Best shredder I’ve ever had

This is a good shredder, until it isn't. Less than 6 months into light use, the shredder is nonfunctional. In contacting the manufacturer, they diagnosed that it is indeed a warranty issue; however, because the item was purchased from an unauthorized seller through Amazon they are failing to honor the warranty. The seller was NextGen Active and my first interaction with them was their representative telling me to lie to the manufacturer and tell them it was purchased from Amazon (not gonna happen). I responded to NextGen Active's initial contact and am awaiting their response...UPDATE: the company that mfg an sells this shredder denied the warranty (claims it was purchased from an unauthorized seller), claims there are no parts available to fix a known warranty issue (I was going to repair the shredder.) and refuses to offer a discount to purchase a new shredder. I am left with a $200 paperweight. All this adds up to terrible customer service! I will never buy another ATIVA shredder and advise you to do the same! Additionally, Amazon should not allow unauthorized sellers that will not honor the warranty.

Shreds paper into very small pieces. Credit cards and optical media are not shredded the same way. They remain in fairly large pieces. Be aware that every time it completes a shredding cycle of paper, it reverses before it is ready to shred again.

This shredder is very efficient -- it takes lots of pages at a time and it is very easy to move around (casters!) In addition, it has a very convenient and simple way to empty the contents. I recently shredded a lot of old stuff that we should have shredded a long time ago and it went amazingly fast, the shredder didn't get hot or stall or anything. The reverse feature works very well. Couldn't ask for better! Excellent for home use!

So far so good. Working as it should.
