If you want good performance parts you buy Yukon gear
Extremely high quality made in the usa parts. I've bough soooo many Yukon gear parts over the years and had very minimal part failure ( and only failures where in very high horsepower race application rigs that where taking far more abuse than your normal daily driver or weekend warrior rig would under go) there fully worth the money.

Parts appear to be high quality.
I can't give this a less than great rating as my product was damaged in transit. Yukon makes great parts! Everything appears to be usable minus a seal. The blister pack broke open and bearing and races were able to bounce around and ding up all the other parts. All I can do is clean up the burrs and damage and run it as I dont have time to replace it. Will update.

Dead silent rear end
Ordered this along with Yukon gear posi since my G80 shat the bed. DO NOT order the 'bundle' as it jacks the price up over the price of purchasing individually. Everything we needed to completely rebuild the rear end was included with the exception of axle seals, bearings and oil. Rear is now dead quiet.

Thorough cleaning before install is mandatory
These installed in my 2000 Silverado with new Yukon gears. Everything was textbook.

Great product but not enough info
Four stars for being a great product, with -1 star for being difficult to know exactly which kit to buy. If you have any aftermarket positraction carrier, you need larger carrier bearings. You need either LM102949 bearings and LM102911 races (pre-1999 GM), or LM603049 bearings and LM603012 races (2000+ GM). It would be nice if there were a reference somewhere. YKGM8.5HD contains Timken LM102949 bearings and LM102911 races, and Koyo pinion bearings and races. Buy this if your vehicle is 99 or older. YKGM8.6-A contains Timken LM603049 bearings and LM603012 races, with Timken pinion bearings and races. Buy this if your GM vehicle is 2000 through 2008. For newer GM than that, get the YKGM8.6-B.
