Go Power! GPC-45-MAX 45 Amp 4-Stage Converter/Battery Charger

Worked out well. Compact size and easy to connect. The only flaw I noticed is the mounting flanges are too close to the body making it hard to get a tool on the Tek screws I used to mount it. Otherwise this is a good value, and is working well after 2 months including a 10 day camping trip.

Replaced my old AFCO. Easy install.

I got a 45 amp unit, not from Amazon.Works well on my boat battery.Only concern is how warm/hot it gets .The unit stays hot for days.Is this normal ?5 stars if given just a little more info about what to expect. what is normal.

I haved two 45 MAX chargers for over a year now and they work flawlessly. These smaller units were selected so there would be no chance of tripping 30 amp shore power when used simultaneously. Each one charges Two UPG 8D AGM's. One bank for house and the other for the inverter. All four types of charge work well. No need to worry about the weekly equalization charge on AGM type batteries since it's short duration and more frequent than typical equalization charges, no heat or pressure build up will occur yet the desired results will be attained.

Being able to set the voltage is a big plus. Use the three step charge for regular charging and constant voltage when diagnosing and programming modules.The switch to change modes is difficult to access since it is changed through a small slot in the case.

The unit failed shortly after purchase. It was replaced on warranty. Now the second one has burned out, and the warranty has expired. I would not recommend buying this brand.

Easy to install. Just plug it in. Everything works great now. Saved a lot of money than buying from an RV place.
