I have a 2 year old Samsung side by side refrigerator RS265TDRS and I've always used Samsung filters, but not anymore. Periodically I would hear a very annoying "jack hammer" sound when dispensing water, and this became quite frustrating. I removed the Samsung filter and ran water through the dispenser and happily the sound was gone! According to Samsung this indicates a clogged or partially clogged filter but I was using a brand new filter how could it be clogged? This lead me to start looking for alternatives so I ordered a Pureline filter to try out. It arrived in two days and I noticed the orifice at the top was slightly bigger in diameter than the Samsung filter, that's interesting I thought. I installed the Pureline filter it fit perfectly no leaks in the fridge and most importantly no jack hammer sound. It's been in three days now and works great. The water is clear, tastes like it should no orders or chemical taste and the dispensing stream is stronger than the Samsung filter allowed. I sure Samsung would love you to buy a 50 dollar filter from them every 6 months but there are better solutions for less than half the price! Thank you Pureline.

This review is solely for the quality of the product and not influenced by the price which I think could still be a little lower.I have tried other compatible replacement filters with mixed success. I found this one a couple years back and have continued to order every 6 months or so. The filter has good flow to start with and only diminishes toward the end of its expected life. Replacement is quick and easy (slight push and twist and it locks right in) as it should be. I usually flush a gallon or so before consuming any water/ice from the replacement. I use a clear water pitcher so I can see the charcoal particles suspended in the flush water (they are mostly harmless but I like to see it change over to clear anyway).The resulting filtered water tastes great (or doesn't taste at all) and has no oder, etc. I am happy with the product and will order again.

Great product for my Samsung fridge. Works as advertised. Have had it in for about 3 months now. Water taste better in my opinion the the one that came in it. There could be other reasons for that but I didn't stick half the water I do now that we have this ne filter I don't have any fancy stuff to test the water or anything. So who really knows but great price and great taste. Will definitely be buying the larger quantity to store so I keep them on hand. Please like the review if u found it helpful

This is a very good low-priced alternative to OEM filter. The water flow rate is slightly higher than the OEM filter, which helps with the freeze-up problem common with Samsung refrigerators. This is my third time using this filter with no problems.Update:I have now used this filter for four replacement cycles, and I still think this is a very good alternative to OEM filter.Update 2:Now five replacement cycles. There are minor modifications of the design from time to time. The early 2018 model was a little snug in the socket when installed and was very difficult to remove six months later. I had to use a wrench to carefully turn it. New one installed well and is working well. This knocked it down to four stars, but I will continue to use this brand in the future.

The filter seems to work just as well as the name brand 'Samsung' filter that came stock with the fridge, BUT at half the cost! The filter was exactly the same shape as the 'Samsung' model and fit/turned in perfectly with no struggle; I initially ran water through it for 6-8 min. to flush it out, there was little to no black debris from the filter that I could see; it is very quiet, no air bubbles or gurgles; the water comes out at a steady stream, it's not any slower or faster than normal; and most importantly the water has no funny tastes or odors, it tastes the same as it did with the 'Samsung' filter. I will purchase this filter from now, at half the cost and the same quality it's a wonderful deal!

I cannot detect any differences between this and the OEM filter. This makes my tap water drinkable, just like the original. I read all the reviews on the various filters and was tempted to spend the $45 for the Samsung because I prefer to use tap water vs bottled water for drinking. The original filter did a good job of removing the chlorine and murky taste. I bought one of these as a trial, will be using these going forward.

I ran probably close to 10-gallons through this thing and the water still tasted funky; it's worth mentioning that my tap water tastes fine, this filter was imparting some weird taste. I really wanted this thing to be a worthwhile replacement for the Samsung brand one as it is about $30-less than the legitimate filter, but it didn't end up working out. Had it in the fridge for about 5-days and would run water through it on whatever commercial breaks came up on TV and the taste never went away. Ordered a Samsung brand filter and within 5-minutes of installing it the water tasted great, no issues. I'm glad some people have had better luck than I did with this thing, wish I I was one of them as it's a heck of a deal for the money.Ended up tossing it in a Ziploc bag and returning it to Amazon without any hassle; other than feeling like an idiot for returning a water filter. This is yet another reaffirmation that you get what you pay for.
