Joe Barden R4000 Bass Pickup SET Rickenbacker 4003 / 4001 JBE Pickups

I used to own a 1974 4001 that sounded incredible; unfortunately it was destroyed in a house fire. I finally replaced it with a 4003S but it just lacked the tone of my old 4001. Tried a few different string brands but it was still falling short. I finally had my luthier install a set of JBE pickups and, finally, there was the Rick bass tone; aggressive while articulated. Booming lows and crystal clear highs. Just awesome! Absolutely recommend these pickups for any Rick bass lover.
