Great compact nice to look at inverter
Did a lot of research on these. Decided on this one as it can provide power to a fair range of appliances, which we use on the motorhome. As an example 1200W hair dryer (on half heat) 700W remoska oven for an hour, 170W slow cooker, electric bike charger, lap top etc etc. This is used in conjunction with a 150W solar panel and a 90Ahr Varta Leisure battery. You can keep an eye on the display and it will show the power that you are using and the battery current available. Be careful not to take to much out of the battery, using heating elements! The unit also has two USB sockets which are great for device charging ( phones, Garmin gps etc)The two 240v plug sockets are to close together. It only really needs one but no big deal. The display could be bigger then! When running the cooling fan makes a little noise but thats fine and it keeps the unit well cooled. The cables it comes with are to short. I had to make my own (I used bigger diameter welding flex cable, for better current and heat considerations) as I have clipped them onto the Leisure battery terminals and can now position the inverter on the seat inside the vehicle.I also wanted a pure sin wave inverter as it will (I hope) work with all electrical equipment well.So far so good. I have "road" tested it and for the range of equipment we need power for, it does what it says on the tin. It is a nice, compact, good looking practical piece of kit to have on any van.If they got rid of one 240v sockets, provided slightly larger, longer power cables and made the display a little bigger they would have a 10 out of 10!!I would recommend you give this unit high consideration.

Compact and does the job
Very impressed so far. Only a week in but using it most days. Compact, lightweight and seems to handle my little 750watt heater and laptop without issue. Make sure you have at least 4awg cable (don't use what is supplied) and a descent charged battery (mine is a Sealed Lead Acid 100amps). I did quite a lot of research and didn't wan't a cheap Chinese eBay converter so opted for this over Renogy 1000w as that was bigger in size. The fan of this unit is always on and speeds up when you plug a power hungry device in, other than that it's pretty good so far. Time will tell...

Second Hand Crap
Purchased one, received used unit with no cables, spare fuse or instructions. Returned and re-ordered another, exactly the same thing again. Presumably they get so many returns the seller just continually churns them back out in the hope some mug will keep them. Subsequently ordered a GIANDEL 1000w inverter which probably weighs twice as much and is built to a very high spec. Boiled my travel kettle in no time. Much cheaper too!!!

Works very well!
I use this inverter on my boat and love it. Great product!

Produces good quality pure sine AC. Mysterious flashing messages on the screen, though.
This upmarket inverter produces a pure sine wave, which makes it OK for use with synchronous (AC) motors and other mains devices that are sensitive to the harmonics present in bog-standard modified sine inverters.Of course, it's more expensive than the modified sine inverters, but the model I have will happily run up to 1kW from a 12v battery, which is pretty good.As others have noted, the cooling fan starts up as soon as the inverter is switched on, and only changes in speed; it never turns off completely, and it's not exactly silent. At night-time you might find it annoying, depending on the amount of other background noise present. The front panel as a back-lit LCD display and a colour-coded LED-lit on/off switch. If the on/off switch is green, all is good. If it is red, or something other than green, there is a problem, either with the 12 volt supply or with the appliances connected to the inverter's mains outputs. On the LCD display there is a lot of useful information - like the battery input voltage, the inverter output voltage (hopefully something near 240 volts) and the amount of power being drawn by any appliances connected to the mains sockets on the inverter. All that is great, but there are some slightly more puzzling warning symbols along the top of the display - for battery under voltage (the inverter shuts down when it gets below 10.5 volts), overload on the mains socket, a short circuit etc. The weird thing I found is that two of the warning symbols (the under-voltage and short circuit ones) keep flashing briefly every few seconds, even when the inverter is running happily and producing mains power. I contacted the manufacturer and received no response, which is disappointing. Since I don't know whether the flashes indicate some kind of fault, and the manufacturer doesn't seem to value customer support, I've deducted a couple of stars. At this price we deserve better.

Nice device but not sure limitation or faulty
Purchased this inverter to power an outdoor pond water pump. Build quality seem very decent. However, not sure if this is the nature of inverter or faulty unit. While running the water pump, according the plug in power meter, the pump consumes about 25W of power, which is within the spec of the pump. However, the inverter's LCD says 63W. I was expected some loss from the inverter, but not 63W-25W=38W loss on 25W load! I'm not sure if this is expected or I simply have a faulty unit. Checked the pump and plug in power meter on normal main which of course is fine, hence I turn my doubt on the inverter.
