Great little heater
Great heater, works great with programmable thermostat, immediate heat, not noisy and surprisingly doesn’t need to run for long, works so well I got one for another room

easy to use
It works great! Not too loud. I had an electrician come over to install and it did not take him that long. My house is just under 1200sqft and it's in my living room. It warms my whole house. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you!

Love this heater!!
We needed something to heat our insulated two car garage and this was a perfect solution. It was very easy to install and has been working great. It seems to be very well made and I like that it is made in the USA by a great company that has been making heaters for many, many years. I am very impressed with everything about it. Our garage is about 564 sq ft and it has no problem maintaining the temperature without having to run very long to do so. I used a Honeywell T410A1013 wall thermostat to control this and removed the built-in thermostat. I ordered the grill plug directly from Cadet to cover the hole and the whole installation looks great. It runs fairly quiet; you can hear the fan blowing the air, but it's not loud by any means. Overall, I am very happy with this unit and expect that we'll get many, many years of use from it. I also like that Cadet has all the parts available for these, should anything need to be repaired or replaced.

Good for individual rooms
This is a good little heater, that heats a room well and fast. However I would only recommend this for closed off rooms that will be able to retain the heat. The thermostat on it is not very clear, so you definitively want get a separate one installed too. With that said, here's something to consider. It can be very expensive to run, specially if you live in a really cold climate, and have connecting rooms like me. This is why I will only recommend it for closed rooms. I had this one and 2 smaller ones installed in my house as a temporary fix to a heating issue in my house, but it's costing me an arm and a leg. This is is obviously an individual problem and not the product's problem, but keep it in mind in case you have the same idea as me. This heater will be best if used on mild climate where it can get cold but it's not cold for extended periods of time. Or if you have room that you don't use often and just need it quick heat on demand. Oh also; this bigger Cadet heater is significantly louder than the single/smaller Cadet heaters.

Ease of use
We bought this to replace a similar heater with the digital thermostat that the heat adjustment button broke. This heater is much simpler to operate. Turn the knob up to start receiving heat, and turn it down to shut it off. When you turn the knob the heat is instant and quickly warms the room (in our case, the bathroom). While I can't tell what the temperature is, the built in thermostat turns the unit off when the temperature reaches that temp. It starts if back up when the temp falls below the built in thermostat. Installation was simple for us as we already had wiring for the previous heater. So far, this is perfect for us. We highly recommend it.

Good quality
Appears to be a very good quality item, however I haven't used it yet because of a wiring issue between the breaker and the heaters.

Disinformation?
Ya know... I'm willing to accept half the blame for this particular mistake. But in my defense, it could be argued that I was set up. 🤨 Case in point... I wanted to install an electric heater in our bathroom. Not a complicated project as far as projects go and have many under my proverbial belt. Went on Amazon and picked out a Cadet heater. This brand, if not this exact unit, is also offered at Home Depot so it's not like it's TOTALLY cheap scrap. At the time that I ordered it, I was still bouncing between mounting it on the wall or possibly the ceiling. Looking at the company's website, and as indicated by the screen shot shown, I could do either with the heater I ordered. Nice to have that apparent option. I ended up installing it in the ceiling. I installed a dual pole thermostat on the wall, set the thermostat on the unit itself to high, and fired it up. About two minutes into running, the over heat protection kicked in, shutting it down. Hummm... THAT'S not a good thing. 🤔 Well, when all else fails, read the instructions. 😏 Soooo... Contrary to their statement of "ALL" 1500w heaters can be ceiling mounted, the ones with built-in thermostats are "not recommended" to do such. Got me there guys. 😣 I will be calling them on Monday to see what we can do about this. Again, I'm willing to accept half the blame, but I'm curious as to what THEY are willing to do. At the same time, I will be inquiring as to exactly what the difference is between the models that have a thermostat or don't. I am a tad concerned that the over heat protection is kicking in. If the only difference between the two is the lack of an internal thermostat (which I can physically remove on THIS one), then that won't really solve the problem. The over heat protection should NOT be engaging. Period. To be continued...

Compact and powerful - Great heater!
Added this to my basement which is 250 square feet. This is now the toastiest room in the house. The heater is very small and compact and does a great job and making the room very comfortable during the winter months. I bought it because I read other reviews stating it was perfect for 400 sq feet. Very happy with the purchase. Install into the wall was easy for me and I had an electrician install the 240 dedicated line to it. Topped it off with a manual Honeywell thermostat to keep the room temperature nice and consistent. Excellent value and a nice clean looking yet simple design.

Switched over to 2 of these units from conventional baseboard heaters and there is a positive significant difference. The heat produced is immediate and widely dispersed with the fan. I added a wall thermostat so the room temperature maintains a more consistent level and the heat is on less time then the baseboard heater. Sound level is not much louder than a forced air furnace. I love these units for the small footprint and recessed installation. Highly recommended.

We put this in a room above the garage which is about 600 square feet. It heats the room no problem so far. It is still under construction and I’m keeping the setting low while we work. I expect it will do the job when it is set to room temperature. Very easy installation. I used 10/2 wire.

I use this heater as a backup in our sunroom. Very happy!

Just installed it and I am very impressed. Throws a lot of heat and is reasonably quiet. I was a bit concerned about a built in thermostat but it seems to be working just fine. No need to buy a wall thermostat. It was very easy to install. Used 10 gauge wire. It does a great job of heating my 750 square foot basement. I can feel the heat when it turns on from 15 feet. It was a little pricey but it was a good purchase now that it is installed and working. We will see how it holds up. It comes with a 2 year warranty and is made in the USA.
